11 Year Old Benched For Scoring Too Many Touchdowns

typical fucking woman answer.

fuck that. let him dominate. they let kids outshine their peers in academics, singing and everything else under the sun, why not in sports?

What a fucking pussy ass country.

Woman here, and I agree with you. Maybe if they keep the kid around, the other kids will get a lesson or two in strategy and learn how to adapt and keep the ball away from him. And if not, they can get lots of practice being good losers :)

That said, there's no reason any one kid should be playing every minute of every game. Kids at that age are still growing, and they don't always know their own limits. The coach owes it to them and their parents to avoid letting anyone overdo it - but the idea that there's a rule in place to keep one kid from outshining the rest is just silly. That's not sending a good message to anyone.

Why not just put him into a different age category? That's what usually happens in Aus anyway.

In fact when I played tennis we didn't even have age groups unless it was for a tournament (jr aapt or whatever it's called) - you just got put into skill categories - generally the older you were the better group you were in but there were a few 12 year olds playing in A grade (highest grade) against 17 year olds and still whipping them.

That works great for tennis - maybe not so much for a full contact sport when you're dealing with an age group where 1-2 years difference can mean huge size differences? That would be my guess, anyway...

Typical wf answer.

Last I heard academics was an individual achievement. Sports is a team effort. You know all that "no I in team" stuff? And when I was singing in every grade throughout school it was also an all around team effort and we shared parts and auditioned for the occasional solo. The only time anyone actually really stood out was the one time of year there was a musical and people fought hard for the lead. Way I figured it all balanced out which is actually what they were trying to do here it seems....so got anything else there, bud?

how about we take away your fucking solo? Its a team effort. At least the better you are at singing, the quieter you sing. We don't want the fat low confidence girl in the back to feel left out.

No no your right. Let's just teach kids that the system will make everything better for them.

when we start sucking as adults because we are trained to suck as kids ,then we should just protest on wall st. Its unfair that im the 99%.

I say let the kid play. I bet $100 that team has no friggin QB so stack the line with all eleven and tell your guys the only way we're gonna loose is if that kid gets through.

Play a 3-4 and blitz your middle LBs. Keep one safety 15 yards back over the center and the other safety 7 yards backs over the center. Blitz your corners on the edges out the slot.

This may be extreme but the bottom line is there is a way to stop or at least slow him down.

Another way would be a 4-3 stack on the weak side. Blitz the LBs on the weak and blitz the safety on the strong. Corners play man with a safety deep.

We might still loose but that kid gonna need bandaids and message when we are done.

could not have said it better myself. I can tell you play madden, or played at least HS football. or both haha

They should let him keep dominating.

99% of the other kids will go on to live normal lives, but maybe.. just maybe.. one of those kids will be forever changed for the better because of the beating he took from Demias Jimerson.

I think it's fine at this age, all the kids need a chance to build their skills. Highschool is a good time to start the star power, to gear up for college and beyond.

And yeah, no need to feel sorry for this kid, even if he is being limited in his plays, he's already got a viral video and extreme talent and grace. The boy is like a gazelle out there. Good luck to him.

I get where you are coming from but that also robs the kids on the other team from playing against real skills, which they deserve.

This is awesome. We had some kid like this in 7th grade and the first game he scored 7 touchdowns. Every game was almost the same, by high school there were a few others his size and speed and he wasn't dominant at all. He was maxing out benching 285 in 7th grade, so it was not really fair.. but we didn't have a BS rule and we just got to dominate :).

They also use it for AFL which is a contact sport without pads and it works fine. The kid is going to need to learn how to take a hit and he's also going to need to learn when he should and shouldn't make a breaking run.

If you honestly believe he is learning valuable skills in that age group your delusional - he needs to be against people with a similar skill level.
