I know my track record for contests has been sucking a lot.. but this one is going to be an awesome one, because I already have the prizes in front of me, and it will be moderated by the Mods on this forum, instead of just me.

I'll release information on the contest once the contest creative page is up. So if you wanted to go to Affiliate Summit West, but didn't want to spend the $1k or so that it costs, well, now you don't have an excuse, because we are giving them away for FREEEEEE. Airfare is pretty cheap, and so are hotels. Food and drinks are ultra cheap and plentiful out there, and you can use this as an excuse to finally go to Vegas, or for that much needed vacation that you've been putting off.

15 lucky winners will be going to Affiliate Summit for Free, that's all there is to it! We'll be awarding winners every month (Oct, Nov, Dec) until Jan 2007 for the Summit!!!

One day when I make enough bucks I will definitely book a flight from Israel to the US and participate in those affiliate summits. In the meantime, I will read everything here on the forum & watch the videos made! :crying:

I think those gatherings are an amazing opportunity to network and learn many many new stuff...

It should be great if all "Lucky Winners" will post here later their experience & what they learned during the summit days! :xyxthumbs:

Well, personally, I think they should only charge $100 for affiliates to go, and overcharge the networks instead! ;)

But no one else is getting a 50% discount, so I guess you take what you can get.

Yeah, especially the networks will probably hunt like grazy for new affiliates at the summit...

I wished we had such summits here in Israel, but this sort of things is foremost BIG in the States. I am even not sure if Europe has many of those affiliate marketing conferences, summits, etc. For sure there are, but not like the US I think! Therefore living in the US helps also when doing internet marketing in some way. :)

Alright.. so far I have that we will be running contests every week or two until the Summit. I'm also trying to work out cheaper airfare and hotel accomodations for the winners.

I want there to be NO EXCUSE to get people over there. To meet the entire WickedFire team, or most of us at least, and have a fucking blast together. Let's make a statement there, that WickedFire is here to stay, and we rock!!

By the way, people were asking if I'm making money from this, and the answer is no. I'm not getting a fucking dime for any of this, but I think it's important to network, and to get people who are normally intimidated by it out of their safe environment and out into a social business environment. Especially when there are WF friends to meet up with, drink with, and hang out at strip clubs and parties with! We are a tight knit group, so let's do what we do here but in person!!

I'm also in the process of working out a deal with COPEAC, TLA, and Azoogleads right now to do some add-on perks for the contests. Enough offering consulting and other crap, time to get serious and give away fucking good prizes. No ebooks here guys. I promise.

This is awesome Jon and I think this is the first step in getting to your goals of making an impact in this industry. I'm going to do my best on the contests, but I usually suck at them. But if the 50% deal is still in the works I'll probably take you up on that. My first kid is supposed to bere at the end of November (which is what finally motivated me to get serious about this) so I don't know what my money situation will be.

I'm actually trying to get it cheaper than 50% off, because these conferences need to be dominated by affiliates so that the vendors get what they paid for. It also only strengthens the industry as a whole, because it creates lots of great new contacts, prospects, and lots of new friends. Especially for us affiliates/publishers who don't get much offline industry face to face interraction. Plus once you go to one, you can't stop going to the other ones!

Even though we won't have a booth at this one, we will blow up the one in the East. I think that will also be around the 1st anniversary of WickedFire, which you damn well know will be having a big fucking party for.

Would you be able to do the 50% or more sale off the tickets after well October 1 when they increase prices? Getting 50% off on the initial registration price would be great and I'd be interested. Don't have alot of cash now, but I'll have enough to go over to the west coast in late january (I'm over at NJ).
