At $150/oz you don't get real Saffron but the fake stuff that most grocery stores sell.
Good Saffron sells for up to 5k per pound.

So basically "good stuff" is roughly 300$ an ounce. Usually means it has more of the actual stem on them. So its more 'pure' per ounce.

But if thats the case, the tubes wouldn't be left in the grocery store, they'd be gone with the crackheads. I mean why would they just empty the safron out and leave the tube?
