When I was working in Asia, I got dinged for shipping over Louis Vuitton (these were real, just hadn't passed the QC check)
bags without a license from the manufacturer. I wonder if doing them one at a time through eBay would be a way around that.

I love the responses so far. I'm sorry to offend anyone who doesn't like the post. I'm not expecting any favors but you never know. So far the flaming has been interesting.
I actually have learned a couple of things from this post; setting rules for rewrites/edits from the outset; looking back into my connections in Asia and selling through eBay.
I honestly expected the ideas portion of the thread to be equal to the anal lube portion. Thats obviously not happening.
Next time I will be sure to use the ? icon and post properly to let people know what to expect inside of the thread.

Actually, I'm not. Sorry for the confusion. Last night at about 2am there was a thread on the front page with a link to a crappy ebook with the same title of this thread.
It occurred to me that the people who post here could in very short order put together a legitimate alternative by just kicking a few ideas around.
I know enough about this place not to ask for someone to do the work for me and I appreciate you guys for making that clear from the onset rather than trying to sell me into bogus systems or hyped up services.
If someone drops a killer idea in this thread will I use it? Sure, and I hope that anyone else who reads it will too.
The reason I initially didn't post in the newbies thread is because I'm not asking for a blueprint necessarily, just for people to feel free to spitball a few ideas.

Code scrapers for a variety of structured websites. Things like the yellow pages scraper. Gather massive amounts of the data in database form, then sell off the databases.
Think in terms of lists of wholesale distributors, brand name products, models of cars or cell phones.
Most of these scrapers would take at most 2 hours to finish, and the database could be sold several times over if you find a niche a lot of people want information on.
If you really want to have fun, have an increased price someone can pay to buy the db, and immediately have it removed from the marketplace so no one else can get it.

Well. let me put it another way. If I was making real bank and had some ideas that I knew I wasn't going to implement I would share them if they seemed solid. Why? Because people here have already done that for me.
There are people here who will give away priceless information for nothing, some have already helped me.
I'm not in a position to say "this will make you $100.00 per day" and I don't want to lie to people.

This thread inspired me to do an e-book parody based on all of the various ways people scam and get scammed online.
I though of giving it a Barry White Sound track and an Issac Hayes type voice over. Don't know if that would make me $100.00 per day, but I think it would be pretty godamned funny.
In my spare time I'm downloading Obama videos and syncing them with Public Enemy songs (Barak as Chuck D and Reverend Wright as Flavor Flave) based on information about youtube that I learned here.
So again, while I might be able to share some of my ideas with you, I cant tell you that they'll make you any money.

No, I'm not going to be selling anyone an ebook. Especially not an ebook made of other peoples ideas.
