No Oscar thread this year? This injustice cannot stand...

I'm pretty sure this was the funniest Oscars in decades... If not ever. Seth McFarland was a really risky choice but he paid off in spades... I bet he'll be invited back next year in fact.

My favorite bit of course was We saw your boobs:

Which of course only happened in an alternate universe that Captain Kirk prevented from happening by travelling back in time.

(Then Kirk said he'd turn Gay by 2015... hysterical stuff.)

Other awesomeness from the Oscars:

  • The Best Actress tripped on her dress and fell on the stairs.
  • The first Lady called out the best picture winner...
  • Which was starred in and Directed by BEN AFFLECK!!! (End of times shit right there.)

Overall the funniest & most eventful Oscars ever. The Commercials rocked too; far better than the superbowl commercials. (Like the gray poupon ad, and a multi-segment bit with Tim Burton.)
 


Seth was awkward and NOT funny. The opening was ghetto and low quality.

Nothing compares to when Hugh Jackman hosted it and did the entire opening himself (with help from Ann Hathaway).

All the fuss over a flick called "Argo" What was that about? Oh ya Iran. There is so much symbolism and propaganda with this whole situation on both sides its crazy
 
Even though I watch a lot of TV and movies (like a dumbass) I haven't watched the Emmys, Oscars, etc in decades if ever. Nothing makes me sicker than watching Hollywood pat itself on the back every fucking year. They do this enough in movies ABOUT HOLLYWOOD. I try to avoid those movies as much as I can as well. There's enough star-worship as is.. we don't need 5+ Hollywood star worshiping religious ceremonies a year as well.
 
How did FTC approved a song about boobs and tits? might as well have seth dancing around the pool if wants to go that far.

The fuck!? He was hilarious! Hugh was fine but Seth made my side hurt laughing at several different parts... His zingers throughout the night were awesome, too. (Like calling Chris Pine and Zoe the next priceline.com spokespeople... Classic.)

Fuck you redneck; This isn't the first Oscar thread on WF you know. We have one every year if for no other reason to talk about the cool ads. (These really were better than the superbowl ads.)

Because MacFarlane is funny sometimes, I give him 2 points. For being a leftist faggot I substract 10.
 
I guess you guys missed the dress modifications the Iranians made to the first black lady.
 
Life Of Pi's 3rd act was underwhelming

It got all those Oscars because of the visuals and because everyone wants to feel like they're deep

I enjoyed Skyfall and The Dark Knight Rises more than any other movie in 2012. Each to their own though.

The Oscars has always been a joke. Martin Scorsese had to wait for The Departed before picking up Best Director. They get it wrong year-on-year, they even gave this piece of crap 2 nominations...
