Guys,,Microsoft is launching their first new operating system (Vista) after a span of five years on this Tuesday, now that’s a fukkin’ long time to wait for one,,huh. What do you think ‘bout it?? Will it be a hit in the market with the amount of publicity it has got or was it just a waste of time for MS??

Vista looks alright, but there is just no reason for me to upgrade from XP.

I've been using if for about a month, nothing too special. I realize i'm not using 100% of the OS but to me it's just an updated version of XP with a slightly differen't look. Worth the upgrade eventually but i'd wait until you buy a new PC if you already run XP SP2 and have no issues. Office 2007 is the upgrade people will actually get more out of. The new Outlook rocks.
 
vista has a nice GUI but it's a pain to use
too many things were changed, and the new security system really slows you down

I use Win2k3 and will probably switch to Mac at some point
but for anyone running Windows XP, I don't see any reason to upgrade
 
Bah I bet not many people get it right away because we all know when a new OS hits the stores the shit usually hits the fan for awhile...

Ahh reminds me of the good ol' dark ages (windows millenium...)
 
windows vista is the greatest thing since sliced bread! I love everything microsoft does and will be the first in line! Microsoft can do no wrong as far as I am concerned. If they wanted to put a bar code chip in me so I never steal any more software I would be fine with it. Bill Gates needs the money more than me! That way he can invest in other companies that do evil business and vaccinate all the fuckin sick kids in 3rd world countries!
