Holy shit. Can't wait to see what they come up with, goddamn just thinking of how much this is about to change everything gives me a headache
GamesWorkshop is so royally fucked. No one is going to be spending hundreds of dollars on armies when they can buy a printer plus supplies and do it themselves for cheaper or the same cost and get w/e model they want.
Meh, I wouldn't say they are royally fucked, their business model might just change up a little.
I mean, I can go down to Chinatown and get figures similar to what are on their website for probably 20% of what they are charging. So can everyone else.
But, how many Warhammer tools...I mean players...will actually do that?
Not many, right?
And if this 3D printer thing really does come along, they can sell "licensed" Warhammer 3D figurine plans so people can print them at home by themselves.
And if people try to give the plans away for free or try to make bootlegs?
