I got both checks from all those hours I worked (the PTO hours from one job while I worked OT at the other job was a nice bonus)

If you need to push yourself to earn or work or develop, these steps may help.

1. Know what you are capable of
2. Set goals right up to that limit (you are probably functioning well below your potential).
3. Set a time limit that you will run at full speed (an hour? a week?)
4. Get support (I got mine from WF)
5. Be accountable to someone or somewhere (motivational partners are great...the buddy system!)
6. Start and don't stop till you accomplish your goals!

Now that the time I worked SO much is passed and I just paid off what I needed to, I'm SO glad I did it! Damn it sure was worth it.

I go through spurts where one week I'll work flat out hardcore and make a killing as a freelancer, and then some weeks I'll take a back seat and only do a little bit.

I've just come back into freelancing after a 3 week hiatus to chill, biggest mistake I've made financially but got some good perspective.

I just lack a sound environment to work in.

Good tips Jan

for online work i find that forums and stats kill time. The best piece of advice given to me was do the work before going online. So now I do that, create my galleries, freesites, pages offline then all I have to do is submit.

Work done in a few hours, giving me plenty of time to try out new things, read up on tutorials and find new, higher goals!

#5 is important for me. If left to my own devices, I can really slack off. If I have outside influences to deal with, it helps me a great deal in terms of motivation.

After I've pushed my self, I plan in/force myself to take a little break. Running full speed too long creates burn out and then productivity can drop for a longer period of time than the time used to take a break!

He is in idiot. I don't think he has ever said one intelligent thing on this forums. He has some of the worst advise, comments and suggestions on a wide variety of topics.

That is subject to interpretation.

What may work for others may not work some.

There are no difinitive rules for making money online.

no looser I don't see the irony cause when I act like a douche it is just that an act! I don't think there has been anyone who has asked me a question that was not "can you do the work for me" that I did not go out of my way to answer.

Damn...I go to work and come back and you guys are fighting-wtf? :)

Adsense Loser-I'm curious what Hallmark cards have you seen that have anything like that? If what I wrote doesn't help you......move on! It's a big enough forum, you should be able to find something of value. There are lurkers and newbies, who might like some basic steps as they progress forward-its not just all about YOUR needs! Wise words to remember-Even a fool can appear intelligent if he keeps his mouth shut (or doesn't post). Honestly.....I don't know you well enough to make any statement on the value of your input on WF, so I won't!

chrislingle and aeiouy sometimes even negative attention is enough attention to "feed the beast". You may have valid points about this guy, but you may also be encouraging him. If you know what you wrote is true about him...ignore him (he might just go away?).

OK, I'm done being mom here and will step away from the thread! I have an article to write!

jan - sorry, I don't know how to not call out a piece of shit like the looser. I don't think he will go away, hell I held my keyboard for a long time reading the b.s. he posts! you on the other hand have nice stuff to post and always thought provoking! by the way, I did not listen to my mother even though I should have....
