This is the most expensive ebook I have come across. Not sure if any of you have seen this. It is written by Jim Shaw, who is an offline direct marketer. He claims to have generated over $400 mil in revenue. Not really finding much when I google him, apparently he is legit.

Here is the offer

ps - I actually know of someone who purchased this

edit - that's jim straw

He made $400M in revenue in his lifetime, but he feels the need to sell an ebook for $1k to random idiots online?

Oh yeah, makes loads of sense. Fucking ebook assholes!!

Are they retarded?

The guy who bought it is an online pro poker player looking to get into offline marketing. Obv I think he's fucking nuts, but what someone does with their own money is their prerogative.

BTW, I'm not saying I think this ebook is legit. Just that someone by the name of Jim Straw exists and has been very successful in direct sales.

Tell your retarded poker player friend to give me the ebook and I'll post it up here. Let's see what this $1k for $400M worth of info really looks like.

I think I know what one of the chapters is on -
"how to sell a $1k ebook to stupid people from the warrior forum without them realizing it even as they read this right now".

It might work though... A lot of people buy things based on price with the assumption that high price = better. I'm not saying that's always the case (and almost never the case with ebooks), but you gotta respect the guy for at least having the ballz to try that price.

Awesome overuse of quotation marks. I don't think the guy knows what they usually mean.

For example:

"You Can Be A Millionaire In One-Year Or Less!" is "real" ... not some pie-in-the-sky horse puckey.

Oh, it's "real" huh? Maybe he knows exactly what quotation marks mean, which is why he uses them so much. You buy the eBook and realize it's a scam, you can't sue because he flat out admits how "real" it is.

Reminds me of the Friends episode where Joey thought he knew how to use quotation marks...

Anyway... back to lurking.

Yes you're right, but you also need a rock solid product otherwise your refund percent will skyrocket.

I doubt he is giving refunds on this ebook lol.

As far as the dude who bought it, he is not a friend of mine. He is a rather successful poker player who owns some semi-successful organic traffic sites.

I just stumbled across the thread over at a poker forum I used to frequent, and thought you guys might get a kick out of it.

Ever consider that this so called poker player that "bought" it is actually the person thats selling it?

One of the most common tricks online to making sales is to fake posts about how you bought some product and its great. The bullshit bulk traffic sellers do it all of the time.

Quite possible, but probably unlikely in this case. He wasn't making any outrageous claims as to its greatness, just saying that he is buying it. Perhaps that is part of the schtick - casually and passively promote your product. hmmm....

Just because someone is a good professional poker player doesn't mean they are very good or smart when it comes to other things, like this..

Hey, if anyone out there has a spare $1k laying around that they were about to spend on an ebook....

... I have a bridge for sale. It's beautiful.

Is that really a pencil-thin mustache on that guy? Is he TRYING to look like the epitome of a sleazy used car salesman or what?
