I never really bothered messing with selling sites but I am getting tired of one of my better ones. It is a niche ebook in a market that is fairly untapped and contains borderline illegal material.

I was going to list it at SitePoint but after reading the TOS I found out that I may not be able to list it there.

So where else can one go to sell a site if they want to avoid cheap mother fuckers (DP) and that may actually accept the sale of my site?

Please don't say ebay.

sitepoint

edit, nvm, it pays to read the whole post. just skimmed and missed your sitepoint part.

The site I am looking to sell makes about 1k+ a month and I am going to include lots of extras (domains, business plans, other various accounts, research, etc...)

I do not think that I will be able to go and pull any kind of good money out of the tight wads at DP. Really hope that sitepoint will let me sell it there. I have been doing lots of research and my next best bet looks like :cringe: Ebay

Wanting at least 5k for the whole deal however it should be worth more like 12k easy. Hell the domain and traffic have been appraised at $1350 and that is not including the sales it makes.

Depends how "borderline illegal" we're talking. Cable descrambler sites aren't tough to offload. A site that's going to get your raided by the Dept. of Homeland Security is another story.

You're selling a site that's making $1K/mo for $5K? You shouldn't have any trouble selling that here, even, provided you have proof and etc. (not saying you don't)

I wouldn't mind paying up for a ratio like that..

It's probably a warez/proxy/tv show site. They frequently go for less than 10 times monthly because of the inherent risk.

But yeah, I'd go with sitepoint for this. Try here too.

Yeah I started thinking about that after a little bit. I must of been extra high when I posted that. It has been up for about 8 months with a high month of $1638 and the lowest $810.

I should really try to get at least 12k for the damn thing especially with all the extra accounts, business plan, email list, and extra premium domains etc... :love-smiley-085:

I really want to work on it and build off of it but I just do not have the ambition. I could easily make it a 2k a month site / network of sites.

BTW Its not a proxy or warez or anything like that. It is an ebook.

re

You have digitalpoint, namepros, wickedfire, sitepoint, webhostingtalk, and of course you can use ebay :D
