A guy at the dog park threatened to kick my ass today...

I had this exact same scenario happen to me a few weeks ago, except when he said "kick my dog again and I'll kick your ass" I told him "do you really want me to fuck up you AND your dog in front of these twenty people, all because you're an irresponsible dog owner?" Dude left promptly.

Gar Theim spotted!

I'm still steaming over this. If his dog attacks mine again, I won't hesitate to kick it in the ribs.

The dog isn't the problem. Dogs are dogs. Not cool that you want to break a dog's ribs because the owner is incompetent.

It is too expensive getting in a fight in America now.

Getting ground up in the legal system or having to pay some bottom feeders medical bills is a scary thought financially.

Be thankful nothing happened with that retard, let someone else with a lower IQ teach him the lessons of life.

^ This. I've trained in hand-to-hand combat, knife and firearms for like 6 years now. First thing they teach us is to avoid fights if at all possible. That's why it's called self-defense, not self-offense. Even if you are well trained there is so much that can go wrong in a fight. They might have a weapon, they might have more friends, they may be on drugs and on and on. Totally not worth it. Move on.

Next thing we know, The United States Homeland Security will start a new law.

Background checks before buying a dog.

Next time rape his dog in front of him and warn him he's next. Works every time.

Like many of tomaszjot's other posts, reading this in your head using Andre the Giant's voice makes them even funnier.

Ummm... That's not nearly good enough. We need common sense laws like owner training and owner licensing. Paid to the state in some form.

Fuck that. For example, in my new neighborhood there's a couple doberman's a few doors down, and the idiot owner lets them roam the streets by themselves. Aside from the doberman's, my dogs are the biggest and strongest in the neighborhood, so naturally the four don't get along very well.

My dogs aren't allowed out on their own, but if for whatever reason the 4 of them end up on the street by themselves, guaranteed a fight will break out, and the doberman's are capable of kicking the shit out of my dogs. If that happens, I'm not going to have a problem taking a baseball bat to the doberman's. If the owner gets pissed at me, fuck him for letting dogs like that wander the streets by themselves.

Same as I've had to take a broom handle to my dogs before at my old house. A new dog moved into the neighborhood, and was bullying the pups next door. My dogs didn't appreciate that, so took after him, and without question were going to kill that dog. I freaked, grabbed a broom, and started smacking my dogs with the wooden end of it, to get them off that dog.

It worked though, and the other owner thankfully kept his dog inside after that. So that dog got to live, and the pups were allowed to play without getting bullied.

I placed blame on the owner.

I can't tell if you agree or disagree with me.

I had to add this

Bro don't worry about your size, I've seen short people kick the shit out of tall people all the time.

"if you kick my dog again, I'll kick your ass". He was like a foot taller than me, so I'm sure he could.

Shit like this makes my blood boil.

What kind of asshole says that? Was he just going to sit there and watch his dog attack another dog? So many fools on this earth.

And if anyone says they'll kick you ass again don't back down. Just because someone is bigger than you it doesn't mean they are a better fighter.

Even if you think they will beat you, tell them "yeah, I'm sure you could kick my ass, but prepare to be seriously injured in the process"

Let it roll of your shoulders. If there was something you could have done, that time is past. If you see him again and lock eyes with him, just nod in his general direction and go about your business. Most people don't want confrontations, and I doubt anything would come from it now. Who actually fights in a dog park anyway?
