So, according to serpIQ, my KW gets 3,600 global exact match searches per month, but when I check it in Google adwords keyword tool it says 246,000 global monthly searches. I searched for [keyword], and I checked the "Only show ideas closely related to my search terms" box..

What am I doing wrong/missing? Obviously, that is a huge difference, so I'm sure I'm misinterpreting.

make sure you check the box on the left hand sidebar of google adwords tool that says "exact search"

second, we're pulling our data from SEMRush right now because Google killed a few hundred developer's API key unexpectedly, so it's our only option. There will be variations between SEMRush's data and Google, though ultimately the data does come from Google. The SEMRush data we're using currently is US Local, so compare to that column with the keyword in Adwords tool, not the global column. If it's a trending keyword, you will see larger discrepancies from SEMRush to Google.

The volume data we provide is really there to be a ballpark metric, we ultimately can only know what google tells us. Use it with a grain of solt to ensure you don't go after a keyword that has no searches at all per month, as opposed to a be all end all data point.

Probably some technical problem? 'Cause serpIQ is the only thing I use to research my keyword.

just wanted to clarify:

it was my own stoopid newbness that misread data not serpIQ.

serpIQ was accurate and is a great fucking tool.

thx.

How accurate is serpiq for UK market?
I'm getting in many cases absolutely different results on number of searches for UK local between serpiq and GKT. Like 720 vs 4,400 different.
Which for means I am still not sure if to go after this keyword or not.
Who should I trust in this case?

Also, and more importantly, I have doubts about first competitors it gives me (for UK again). It is right in some cases but for for some keywords it's completely off :crying:

please send me screenshots of whatever discrepancies you're seeing so I can take a look and make whatever adjustments I can to fix the issues. admin@serpiq.com

done.
Please take a look. Because I don't think I can use it for other then US keyword research (which helps a lot, don't get me wrong, but I also have a lot of interest in UK market) as it is now

any news on update? UK is completely off now
It's important part of my business and I can't use the program as it is now
