AdWords Account: Warning, fuck

i cannot believe no-one has asked "whats the common denominator?"

low quality pages obviously, triggered by what? rebills? bridge pages? i've been out of the google game for a while unfortunately (so i can't help) but knowledge is power. there must be something triggering this and i can't for the life of me see any ripples in the ads running on search.

Jesus Fucking Christ!!! Since when does Google give "warnings"? You sir, are a VERY lucky person.

I got a warning from Google and 10 minutes later I got something saying I was banned Fuckin Google is banning people who have been doing this shit for years over 1 stupid website. what is going on

Google's ultimate goal is paid search. There will be no free SEO rankings as an end-game.

First they have to transition their guidelines so they don't look like ads. Google acts like there is something wrong with people advertising products. The reality is Google wants to mislead and trick people into clicking ads, and to be the most succesful at that, they need to force advertisers not to actually advertise stuff.

Once they have made it so the only things showing up in ads are pages that look exactly like organic results, they will then start reducing the exposure of organic results.

First it will start with three ads on the top of some words. Then maybe they will mix an ad into the middle of the organic listing. Then some day they will swap it so the ads are on the left and the organic listings are on the right in the name of a better user experience.

Ultimately you will not be able to get a click from a google search without paying for it. It is not going to happen overnight, but that is where all of this is headed.

If Google was really worried about the user experience they would more clearly delineate the ads from the organic rankings and allow people to advertise in the ad space. This hyper-reliance on keyword relevancy is a massive mistake when it comes to advertising. people are not just impacted by precisely targeted keywords for advertising.

The good news is Google is very vulnerable and becoming more vulnerable all the time. A good number of people only advertise with Google because they have no choice. Given a choice for the same traffic in a different environment, a lot of people would absolutely bail. Google got its start by taking advantage of the status quo way back in the day. I will say their search is good and is what keeps them alive, but it is not impossible to overcome.

"Well see Ford and Coca Cola, here is what you need to do. You need to advertise on a relevant keyword. So for example you might try a keyword for Ford and Ford car, and Coca Cola, well you would try out cola and soft drink and coca cola."

Obviously you will target your customers with pinpoint accuracy, as who is going to want to buy a coke more than someone who is searching for the word Coca-Cola!"

"Um well okay, but how do we advertise to the people who are looking up football games on Sunday afternoon? Our research tells us that is a prime demographic for our product."

"Oh that is easy Mr. Cola. Just make a site related to Sunday Afternoon Football Games, and you will be all set."

This is spot on man... On search you have to be 100% relevant and you'll be rewarded with a very healthy ROI. The problem is, it's only a small fraction of your potential customers.

Now the content network is a whole different story: classic interruption marketing and where most of your profits can (and should) come from. But the bitches at Google are fucking things up with their relevancy and quality score bullshit.

It's like you said, we'll have to build sites about football, bid on football related keywords, and place display ads for the product (e.g. Cola). It will work but then you're spending all your time being a content provider rather than an advertiser.

Relevancy makes sense in search... not so much on the content network. IMHO they're shooting themselves in the foot with their relevancy bullshit.

The market should decide what it wants or doesn't want. The non-performing ads will get weeded out by large negative ROIs.

the last time I got slapped by google, I was running a music download campaign. They sent me a warning out of no where, my campaign had been running for about 8 months, no issues. After the warning, I removed what I thought I had to, but my account just wouldn't get any impressions, period, on any ad, even if it was unrelated to the music campaign in question. Of course, I couldn't get anyone from Google to respond to me. I had to shut that account down. Got new domains, new CC info, new servers, and was able to get back up briefly, for about 3 months. Then they sent me a permaban notice, and since then, I have tried many different things to get back up, with no success. I'm done with them, FU Google.

When I got the notices, and got banned on the second account, I was still allowed to use gmail, anayltics, docs, etc....only not allowed to use adwords.

I feel your pain, brother. I need to get a shirt that says "F Google" on it.

After running into some problems with AdCenter, I've been considering getting my cherry popped on AdWords. But all this Google slapping is scaring me. My first campaign was going to be for a rebill (FWIW, not berries, colon, or bizop). Should I back out and stay away from rebills? Getting banned right off the bat would not be cool.
