Anyway, I'm dealing with a little bit of hair loss on the sides. Nothing bad, but my hair is one of my better features so I want to fight it with what I can.
I like the solutions from Perfect Image Solutions - their shampoo has the antifungal anti DHT chemical (Ketoconazole) that is prescription at 2%, but they keep it at 1% so it's OTC. They also found a way to get 15% Minoxidil and it gets lots of good reviews on Amazon.
Amazon.com: Men's Premium Minoxidil 15% & Azelaic Acid 5% DHT Inhibitor. Retinol Enhanced Thinning Hair Loss / Hair Regrowth Treatment. (Professionally Formulated): Beauty
Amazon.com: Hair Loss/ Regrowth Shampoo -Enhanced w/ Ketoconazole (DHT Inhibitor) & Scalp Exfoliating Agent (Salicylic Acid) for Greater Minoxidil Penetration: Beauty
The 15% Minox stuff is nuts and gets in my hair, but when I DO use it, I stop shedding. Unfortunately, I've been slacker on that lately, so I promised I'd start using it again. Consistency is key with this stuff.
They respond to emails and I like the Amazon reviews.
Shedding sucks. Biotin might help with that as well:

I also eat a shit ton of vegetables.
