:SIGH: Don't know why I am about to do this other than that I feel there may be some n00bs looking in here "other" than the OP who has started biting the hands that have been generously reaching out to help him.
(Oh, and to get rid of the ANNOYING "NAG" at the top of my screen about me not having posted in few weeks!! ARGH!! Lulz)
1.) Anyone looking for eBooks needs to learn about Warez sites and Torrents. (Google it.)
I'll toss out a site to find eBooks on:
www.biztorrents.com
2.) I like to study history, MORE money was made SELLING supplies to Miners during The Gold Rush than was ever made in the GOLD found during that time.
Take a minute to let that last statement "Marinate" over your thoughts of making money online if you are in an Internet Money Making niche of some sort.
Mind you, they were ACTUAL tools that could be used to help the Miners persue their dreams. Not cardboard shovels or paper picks.
3.) Any information given out by ANYONE will be OLD INFORMATION by the time you hear it. That's because it will have had to have been done previously in order for the information giver to know the results of the actions/techniques.
This does NOT mean that it is useless by any means. On the contrary, let's take Golf for example here.
The Guru instructors are always coming up with new twists on how to swing a golf club to hit a golf ball. But the TRUTH is that the human body has not changed in it's physical properties so the bio-mechanics of swinging a golf club to generate power and consistency are the same now as they were when the game was first invented HUNDREDS OF YEARS ago.
Now, the equipment & playing field HAS changed "some" during this time. Does this nullify the proper "method" of swinging a golf club based on the Human Anatomy? NO!!!
So, if I read a book by a guy from the 1800's on how to swing a golf club the information will STILL be at least 90% relevant to swinging a golf club today. (I'm allowing a 10 % difference for the equipment of today. Back then you DID have to cahnge technique to allow for the Hickory Shafts & the type of balls they used.)
Humans like the NEW & IMPROVED of anything so the Golf Gurus put new twists on things that really CANNOT change.
How does this apply to IM/AM? Human NATURE/MOTIVATORS have not changed in THOUSANDS of years!! So, any marketing strategy in the history of humans is still viable today. Yes, the way in which we market or the vehicles we use have changed so YES we need to adjsut accordingly. But that is not much.
4.) FEAR=
False Evidence Appearing Real is the no.#1 thing stopping people from moving forward in this industry. Whether it is fear of failure, loss of money, committing to something that they may get bored with, or the campaign may only have a short life span for profitability before it peters out. (None of us knows how many days "we" have, let alone the life span of a campaign. To steal from Nike, Just Do It!! Lulz)
You MUST face whatever fear is paralyzing you. You do not have to conquer it right off. Just put a finger on it, acknowledge it, and then just move forward. It will go away or at least lessen in intessity as you start actually doing the things that are causing you fear due to your lack of experience with it.
5.) Don't just jump into the deep end. Do RESEARCH a market to get into. I don't mean to "hide" in forums reading about the topics. Get out there and use the available tools like Google, other websites marketing the product/service, and the best tool of all your brain.
In summary, no one should expect anyone to help them for nothing. If someone does help, then take that as a bonus on your journey. (Then pay it forward when you are able. It's good Karma.)
If you do pay someone for information you do have some expectaion for it to deliver on it's described problem solving abilities. Chances are that it worked for the person relaying it when they used it.
This business REALLY is like cooking when it comes to getting it right. And like cooking, you have both good & bad Cooks and Chefs. Then there are the Chefs
Extraordinaire.
Like a recipe, just because you got a recipe book or someone told you how to cook the food you want to make does not mean that "YOU" will be able to make it turn out the same way. (Yours' may even be better with enough times making it.)
A recipe is the break down of steps to take with the proper ingredients to achieve a preconceived outcome.
Only by "YOU" following the recipe and actaully COOKING with them will you learn how to make the food properly.
Your cookware, stove, ingredient quality, cooking technique, and even individual taste will influence the outcome.
The more you do something the better you will get so long as you PAY ATTENTION to the "WHYS" of it not turning out the way you intended/planned before taking action.
As most here have said, "TAKE ACTION"!! The learning is actually in the doing. I know that sounds counter-intuitive but it is the ONE TRUTH of this business and most things in life.
Actions not Affirmations get results in life.
As most of use should know, RESULTS are all that matter in life not reasons.
Rsults can only be achived with ACTION. Whether those results be positive or negative is not an issue. If positive, repeat the actions. If negative do not repeat them, BUT study them to find out WHY they were negative, because the analysis just might help you to avoid further negative results.
I know this was long, boring, and most likely just me blathering on for no apparent reason.
Like I said at the start, I really have no idea what possed me to write this. Especially in IE 8 with No Spell Check turned on!!
Lulz
P.S. Just looked back up at the "In Summary", some
summation eh?!!
ROFLMAO!!
P.S.S. I started out selling on eBay in 2004 and have made TONS of mistakes over the years. I once read that if you are not making at least 50 mistakes a day, you are NOT TRYING HARD ENOUGH!!! Lulz
