Affiliate Marketing for 2010. How come nobody will tell the truth?

Dude you're getting all riled up over nothing. Stop. You bought some cruddy products - it happens. Chalk it up as a learning experience and learn there is not secret or truth other than do work, and do it now.

Very few people on this forum sell ebooks and guru products. Go get angry at warrior forum or digital point if that's how you're going to be. It's full of make money online product peddlers who banked off you.

If you want to stick around and learn to make money, stop obsessing over some magic answer and start finding niches, making sites, and marketing them until your eyes bleed.

"In reality you are all Shawn Hogan.."

You pick the wrong example Dude. If you think a Dog website owner cannot have a $1000 days, I lol at you.... Dog is the shit Man... Dog is the shit... I have two writers who do nothing but just write dog articles for me... Yo Dawg!! Yo there even is a social networking site for Dogs and you laughing at Dogs... You Mad!!!

Did you reaally buy any book or you gave your email for that opt in book.. Most the products that are sold at least teach you one thing or the other.

Because if you had bought my ebook, [aff link] you would be spinning with dough...

Dear OP,

Making money is all about getting Traffic. Of course, there are junk traffic, so let s just say targeted traffic. The money is just a result of that traffic.

If you have read those ebooks well, you would have learnt by now that making traffic is all about "getting good content"

Good content for a website targeting Search traffic, means content that people like to link to.

Good content for a Landing page or sales letter is Good copy that "deceives"(like those guru did to you) and/or convinces the visitor of that lander.

If you are targeting search traffic, you should also build links. You can email other web owners, submit to good directories, link from article dirs, link from web 2.0 properties, guest blog, and last but most importantly buy quality links while continuing to create content. You can create it yourself or outsource it.

If you are buying traffic using CPC, Media, facebook et al, then you need to make sure that you make good ad copy(s), and have convincing salesletter(s) and make sure that you spend less than you are making from offers.

You do this by creating several combinations of the ad copy, image(fb), landers, and test to thos combinations that are profitable. ---> for each group of keywords and/or demographics....

What the fucking more do you need to know???

What will seeing examples serve you other than to copy it????

Riled up are ya? You want to meet outside and get ya jaw busted? Lol. Kidding.

I guess that all of you missed the point, even though it was right there laid out in plain english. I said time after time, that I PAID for freaking courses that still did not teach jack shit. Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth? When someone pays for something, the seller then has a legal responsibility to give them exactly what they bought. Not some half ass how to guide. Is that clear?

Second of all, you guys are all frauds and so is this forum. You keep saying that you all have 'secrets' that you are not willing to share with anyone. These 'secrets' are the so called ways of actually making money from affiliate marketing. So...with that knowledge in hand, it is pretty obvious to determine that the information and advice posted in these forums on how to do something is really just a bunch of lies.

First, you're an idiot for thinking someone was going to give you information worth thousands of dollars for anything less than thousands of dollars.

Second, I've given a shit ton of great information on my blog, including a handful of campaigns that were profitable at one time. Read those posts, take away from it what you can and go find your own offer to promote. I still use many of the methods I've outed on my blog to make money. And I've had a number of people tell me that my blog and Lorenzo's blog has helped them start from nothing to being able to build numerous profitable campaigns.

Fourth, again I ask why would anybody share our campaigns with you just because you're desperate to make a couple bucks? You act like you're entitled to us giving you our campaigns because you've bought some toolbag's shitty eBook.

Third, I'm not a fraud and neither is this forum. Although it has quickly turning into nothing more than a time waster.

Fourth, fuck you.

your numbering system intrigues me, but nonetheless, +rep

Finally, someone is being a man and standing up to the truth behind the scam of it all. You just said, that I was gullible for paying for useless courses. But guess what? You along with everyone else are the ones who are launching campaigns to sell those bullshit courses and earn commissions off it. What a sick reality it is that you just admitted that you are selling garbage that you would not even buy yourself to people who are obviously gullible. Its just sick. In reality you are all Shawn Hogan...

First of all OP, neg rep because even after getting some info you could start with in spite of your whiny introduction, you continue to beat the same dead horse. On top of that you decide to lump this poster you responded to above in with all internet scammers even though his post said nothing about what you accuse him of.

Second, you should go ahead and quit now. You will never make it because your attitude sucks and you choose to blame others when you refuse to simply take action and try stuff. You WILL fail, likely over and over, but eventually you will find something that works.

Do you think everyone here was magically invited into some club and the ebook that rules all ebooks was handed out at the door? Within said ebook was a roadmap and blueprint to internet riches.

No, I would bet my next ten year's income that everyone learned by trying and failing. Maybe some got lucky and had something work right off the bat, but I'll bet it's not their main income stream now.

As for me, I am not a successful internet marketer. Yes, I am making money, just a trickle given the amount of time I have taken. My mistake was trying to launch too many sites at once before I knew how to manage it all. You know what, though? At least half of those are making some income. About half of those have paid for themselves.

I spent a few months looking for the holy grail, but after buying a few shitty ebooks, I realized as well, that if it is to be it is up to me.

Honestly, I'm sure this will go right through you and you won't get anything from it. Last time I'll repeat what's been said; do stuff, then do more stuff, and eventually you will see some fruit from your labor.

Now you are shit here, and no one should pay any attention to your posts. Best thing that can happen is for you to be banned. Maybe come back here after you've decided you can stand up by yourself and quit being a whiny cunt.

ugh God that's annoying. I'll ignore the bitchy "show me how to do this because I can't take the time or money to try any of the shit I've read" but attacking the people here is bullshit. Some of the people who have replied to your thread are really nice people who actually gave you some solid information. Even the people who normally blast people for dumb bitchy shit like this thread were nice to you. Being a bitch towards them is just disrespectful.
Go over to DP and see if they can help you there. I'm sure you'll find deh secretz to deh monies there. (if only this weren't the noob section...grr)

Is being a whiny bitch a ban-able offense?
I doubt it, but in this case they should make an exception.

Well, some of those IM courses actually teach you something. Without one of them I would still be stuck in the mud. BUT... I still had to use my mind to use that information to find a proper niche with enough traffic and people looking to buy. THEN, I decided to turn my brain on again and re-do his method and make it better for my own purposes.

So while you should definitely not rely solely on courses to teach you everything, one or two might actually help you out. But choose wisely. There ARE scams out there, I'm not saying you're wrong about that.

And no, I'm not in IM. I don't sell or market IM products. I probably will when I have something worthwhile to add though. In an honest way! So no, we're not all scam artists. There will always be rotten eggs in every business, but don't put the blame on everyone.

And just because a person teaches you about making a dog site, and you don't believe the dog niche is profitable, you can still use that information to build a business in a different niche. Don't follow anyone's advice blindly, even if he proclaims to be the holy f*cking Pope of IM.

Good luck. ;)

:SIGH: Don't know why I am about to do this other than that I feel there may be some n00bs looking in here "other" than the OP who has started biting the hands that have been generously reaching out to help him.

(Oh, and to get rid of the ANNOYING "NAG" at the top of my screen about me not having posted in few weeks!! ARGH!! Lulz)

1.) Anyone looking for eBooks needs to learn about Warez sites and Torrents. (Google it.)

I'll toss out a site to find eBooks on: www.biztorrents.com

2.) I like to study history, MORE money was made SELLING supplies to Miners during The Gold Rush than was ever made in the GOLD found during that time.

Take a minute to let that last statement "Marinate" over your thoughts of making money online if you are in an Internet Money Making niche of some sort.

Mind you, they were ACTUAL tools that could be used to help the Miners persue their dreams. Not cardboard shovels or paper picks.

3.) Any information given out by ANYONE will be OLD INFORMATION by the time you hear it. That's because it will have had to have been done previously in order for the information giver to know the results of the actions/techniques.

This does NOT mean that it is useless by any means. On the contrary, let's take Golf for example here.

The Guru instructors are always coming up with new twists on how to swing a golf club to hit a golf ball. But the TRUTH is that the human body has not changed in it's physical properties so the bio-mechanics of swinging a golf club to generate power and consistency are the same now as they were when the game was first invented HUNDREDS OF YEARS ago.

Now, the equipment & playing field HAS changed "some" during this time. Does this nullify the proper "method" of swinging a golf club based on the Human Anatomy? NO!!!

So, if I read a book by a guy from the 1800's on how to swing a golf club the information will STILL be at least 90% relevant to swinging a golf club today. (I'm allowing a 10 % difference for the equipment of today. Back then you DID have to cahnge technique to allow for the Hickory Shafts & the type of balls they used.)

Humans like the NEW & IMPROVED of anything so the Golf Gurus put new twists on things that really CANNOT change.

How does this apply to IM/AM? Human NATURE/MOTIVATORS have not changed in THOUSANDS of years!! So, any marketing strategy in the history of humans is still viable today. Yes, the way in which we market or the vehicles we use have changed so YES we need to adjsut accordingly. But that is not much.

4.) FEAR= False Evidence Appearing Real is the no.#1 thing stopping people from moving forward in this industry. Whether it is fear of failure, loss of money, committing to something that they may get bored with, or the campaign may only have a short life span for profitability before it peters out. (None of us knows how many days "we" have, let alone the life span of a campaign. To steal from Nike, Just Do It!! Lulz)

You MUST face whatever fear is paralyzing you. You do not have to conquer it right off. Just put a finger on it, acknowledge it, and then just move forward. It will go away or at least lessen in intessity as you start actually doing the things that are causing you fear due to your lack of experience with it.

5.) Don't just jump into the deep end. Do RESEARCH a market to get into. I don't mean to "hide" in forums reading about the topics. Get out there and use the available tools like Google, other websites marketing the product/service, and the best tool of all your brain.

In summary, no one should expect anyone to help them for nothing. If someone does help, then take that as a bonus on your journey. (Then pay it forward when you are able. It's good Karma.)

If you do pay someone for information you do have some expectaion for it to deliver on it's described problem solving abilities. Chances are that it worked for the person relaying it when they used it.

This business REALLY is like cooking when it comes to getting it right. And like cooking, you have both good & bad Cooks and Chefs. Then there are the Chefs Extraordinaire.

Like a recipe, just because you got a recipe book or someone told you how to cook the food you want to make does not mean that "YOU" will be able to make it turn out the same way. (Yours' may even be better with enough times making it.)

A recipe is the break down of steps to take with the proper ingredients to achieve a preconceived outcome.

Only by "YOU" following the recipe and actaully COOKING with them will you learn how to make the food properly.

Your cookware, stove, ingredient quality, cooking technique, and even individual taste will influence the outcome.

The more you do something the better you will get so long as you PAY ATTENTION to the "WHYS" of it not turning out the way you intended/planned before taking action.

As most here have said, "TAKE ACTION"!! The learning is actually in the doing. I know that sounds counter-intuitive but it is the ONE TRUTH of this business and most things in life.

Actions not Affirmations get results in life.

As most of use should know, RESULTS are all that matter in life not reasons.

Rsults can only be achived with ACTION. Whether those results be positive or negative is not an issue. If positive, repeat the actions. If negative do not repeat them, BUT study them to find out WHY they were negative, because the analysis just might help you to avoid further negative results.

I know this was long, boring, and most likely just me blathering on for no apparent reason.

Like I said at the start, I really have no idea what possed me to write this. Especially in IE 8 with No Spell Check turned on!!

Lulz

P.S. Just looked back up at the "In Summary", some summation eh?!!

ROFLMAO!!

P.S.S. I started out selling on eBay in 2004 and have made TONS of mistakes over the years. I once read that if you are not making at least 50 mistakes a day, you are NOT TRYING HARD ENOUGH!!! Lulz

1. Pick a niche

2. Grab a domain related to the niche and work on ranking for your keywords

3. Profit from organic traffic and then head on over to paid traffic and profit even more

There you go. Go make some $$$$

This is exactly what I was going to post. Sounds simplistic, but that is an exact formula to make money online, now and back in 2005.

It's the stuff in between that requires some skills. Building a good site. Developing a backlink and SEO plan. Learning how to effectively manage a PPC, PPV etc. campaign. All the tools are there for you to use and learn. Everyone is trying to make things work for themselves, that's why you don't see a lot of hand holding in this business. And the ones that will hold your hand through these processes are going to charge you out the ass to do it.

Finally, someone is being a man and standing up to the truth behind the scam of it all. You just said, that I was gullible for paying for useless courses. But guess what? You along with everyone else are the ones who are launching campaigns to sell those bullshit courses and earn commissions off it. There is no conspiracy against you. I don't see anyone selling that shit on here. And I would never sell some shitty eBook to scam people out of money, because I'm not slimy and have better things to do with my time. I've only been in this scene for a month, and I don't see some kind of "secret club" where people high-five one another for scamming newbies out of money on WF.

Everything you need to make money online you can find for free. Do you know how much I've learned from just some of the sites that members here run?

Let's see..

Smaxor:
Ideas From an Affiliate, Network Owner and Advertiser

RieyPool
RileyPool.com - Ain't no shame in my PPC game

NickyCakes
Nickycakes.com - Reformed Blackhat

Ruck

They're obviously not out to make money and/or scam you. No one is going to tell you how to do this stuff step-by-step. Take the basics you learn and then experiment on your own. There is so much fucking money being spent online every day. You're an idiot if you can't even grab a tiny slice of the pie.

Hey guys,
I want to know the truth about why nobody will actually show other people how to make money online? I have bought many E-Books, subscribed to several how to programs, read tons of blogs and websites, and visited many forums on affiliate marketing. The common theme that I am seeing is that the way people used to make money online in 2005 is drastically different from how people really make money in 2010. The other thing that I am seeing is that the ones making all the money are selling E-Books and programs on how to make money or how to get more traffic. But everytime I order the E-book or program all I see are ideas and concepts and not actual proven step by step techniques on stuff that will work. For example, they tell you to go with your passion. So if you love dogs then start a dog blog, then make bank from it. Thats bullshit. If that were profitable then these so called gurus would be doing it. If people want info on dogs they watch Animal Planet or goto animal planets website.

And then these gurus show us their clickbank accounts or paypal accounts with $1,000 days. A person with a blog about dogs will never have $1,000 days. The only reason those kids have $1,000 days is because they just launched something big like the new mobile marketing programs that people have never seen before. And the truth is, yes that is a very smart thing to do by coming up with a viral product, but the fact is we cant all do that. There are only just a few products that are going to blow up like that.

Anyways, Im not looking to be the next IPOD inventor or anything, I just want to make enough bank online to quit my shit job. I am a super salesman and I am wanting to setup accounts with shareasale or other networks that will allow me to refer traffic to their sites and get paid $$$. But the real question is how the fuck do I do it? Im not gonna make jack shit by slapping up 1,000's of spam links everywhere. Article marketing is 2005. And WTF kind of niche blog can I start that will allow me to refer people to online retailers? Thats what I really want to know.

Thanks,
Trav

I faced same frustration, however I think I am havng better understanding. It's just do it mentality. Take something and run with it, if it doesn't work, tweak it until it does.

Stop buying these stupid self claimed guru faggots, they are in the game to rip off beginners like you and me. I think this, if someone can make 1000 per day, why the fuck is the method up for sale for only 1/100 of the revenues ? If I was the "guru", I would never give a way my strategies because it would dilute my earnings due to competition.

Remember that IM is not exactly a scholarly or intellectually challenging work. Stop thinking too much , and just do something.

OP seems hopeless based on his comments... First he needs to change his attitude, then get into action. But he resists leaving his comfort zone.

xTrav: I see you're taking at least part of my advice, the "try, fail, try, fail, try, fail" part. Thing is -- I didn't mean this with regards to this thread; I was talking about like marketing and shit. Put on your big girl panties and go build something. Seriously.
