As with anything like this it's usually anger at themselves. Anger and confusion about their own feelings. What I don't get is why straight men can't just say "Ok yeah I was attracted to her but that was before I knew she had a penis" and then, see ya.

When I was really young I took a trip to Poland, while there I made friends quick and was part of the lil' neighborhood crew - this other group of dudes who we played basketball with or just hung out with had just moved into the area and one night we're all chilling, one of the other guys (they didn't speak Polish, was all a clusterfuck trying to communicate) is suddenly trying to give one of the Polish dudes a flower.
At first we're laughing like it's a joke and he's making fun of the Polish dudes hair being rocker long and clean... but then he persisted, and was almost offended that dude didn't take the flower, as were his friends.
Dude actually had to put hand motions in place saying I'm a boy, I haz a dick look at my hand swaying down here, etc. - THen we really fucking laughed - for days, and all was good.
