my 2 cousins and their dad (my uncle and godfather) are worth over a billion....except for a private jet and really nice houses they don't bling it.

Ahh, you've seen my world headquarters? :D

You guys across the pond have a lot of people stuff into that island of yours. Real estate prices can't be cheap in London.
Where i am its mostly apartments, but a house that size would be atleast £5,000,000, you would probably need to head out a bit more rural aswell. There are alot of cheap places in London but nowdays they seem to be full of islamic weirdos preaching on the streets :)

Well he is in Ohio. Not saying he's in the boonies or anything, I'm sure a house like that is in a nice area... but it's not like he's in New York City.

My gross profit after expenses last year was -220$
I don't care that I am not a big earner or that a profit hugely. I really enjoy running a business and providing a service. The good thing is, is that this is a side hobby, otherwise I would be in a cardboard box with WiFi

That doesnt really make sense, its like saying if you make alot of money dont spend it on nice things? $200k could buy a ferrari and a small yacht out right with change which would be nothing to someone making that kind of money.

No it means, he is talking about how he is going to spend all this leisure time when he has all this money, and the reality is the people who make all the money work their tails off and don't have time to be sitting around. So getting something practical like three monitors which will actually help you make more money, over buying a yacht is the reason why he doesn't make $200k. As someone else mentioned, you first invest to increase your wealth. Wasting it comes a distant second.

If you looking for a cheap appartment in London, my bet is (South) Kensington! :D

Many of us big earners are new to it as well. We are all worried that our golden geese may stop laying. So it is go hard while you can. Three monitors are used all day every day. They KICK ASS. A ferrrari i'd be afraid of scratching... No fun. I like my $25000 mazda better. Really fun to drive. And i could give a fuck if someone scratches it in the parking lot.

Flashes the bling is tacky. The chicks I like don't dig tacky guys.

people get such the wrong idea about tax write offs. the government fucks you twice as hard when your a business. theres no such thing as free shit just cus its for the business.

How you figure? I had to incorporate in August just to get the tax break. With or without writeoffs the taxes were such a huge difference between declaring my income as personal or business. My accountant ran some numbers in a scenario for me..put in some random number - I think it was 89000 - with 15000 in expenses.
For the business the taxes were like 16000 - and then if I declared it as personal it was 27000.

Considering how much I've made in the past 2.5 to 3 months..you can be damn sure its being put in the business bank account and I'm coming up with expenses left right and center.

I agree with that a lot. Im not a high earner, but a good earner, and i hardly spend anything, i spend less than my employed friends, who earn less than me, because im so paranoid about my golden geese.
However, I spend a lot on new ideas, I think you always have to do that.

The Tax Man is not to be feared, he is to be studied and convincingly defeated.

This brings up an interesting point.. How many of you with $50k++ in yearly gross revenue have an accountant?

One way the rich STAY rich is by KEEPING their money AWAY from the taxman, get incorporated and hire an accountant/book keeper today!

Don't bust your ass to make a nice income, and then piddle it away because of poor financial planning. Most of all your personal electronic toys - computers, cell phones, monitors, this and that software program, can all be expensed limiting the taxes you pay on your income. You can also consider your home office space, phone bill, internet access etc.

And then, don't bitch about paying a lot of taxes anyhow, cause if you're payng a lot, you're making a lot, or you have too many holes in your head.

:)

I have a CPA, but he sucked, so I'm finding a new one... and he charged a lot.

Oh, 1 tip when trying to find a CPA/accountant (or lawyer or doctor). Look for last names like Schwartz, XXXblat, XXXstein, etc. ;-).

PAXON - the tax man is to be feared, they don't play by the rules and well get to bend you over and dry fuck you. they are not nice, if you ask for some grease at least they will charge you for stupidity!

lol, mines name is Clauda. and the first time i met him he shook my hand. noticed i was staring at his unusually large nose. He was like yes i am jewish. Then he started crackin jewish jokes. I had to take him after that! Turned out to be a great decision.
