Alpha Brain: Does this shit work? How does it compare to other nootropics?

If that loon Chris "Aubrey" Marcus is making that goo, I am staying the fuck away.

Rogan has changed views on life more than "magic underpants" Romney. It's his personal ticket to retirement apart from Fear Factor II as his comedy is not going anywhere lately.

Do any of you street smart hustlers actually take Rogan seriously? - you should be able to recognise a fellow hustler when you see one.

I heard about this for the first time tonight on Joe Rogans Podcast, never looked into the details of it though. Overall Nootropics are very good though. I've tried Piracetam along with Alpha GPC and Choline (to reduce headaches because Piracetam will use up more of your natural Choline) and I found it awesome. I'm pretty sure I have undiagnosed ADD and this stuff was kinda like a natural adderal that helped me relax and think very clearly.

Rogan has been pimpin that shit lately on the podcast because he has a stake in the company and believes in the product.

But he did openly state that the ingredients are online on the Onnit website and that he fully 100% encourages you to get the ingredients yourself, create your own concoction and try it out yourself to see if it works for you and seems sincere about it. He also offers 100% money back.

He's been copping a lot of shit for it, and I can see why.

The main effect people say it gives them is the fucked up and vivid dreams. People also claim that they have a mental edge etc. but that shit is all unproven and is possibly a placebo.

The power of placebo is very strong. I know people who literally spent $60 on those "Power bands" and claim that it made them feel better/stronger/lift more in the gym. I shit you not. Once it was exposed as a fraud on the news, poof. gone they are from the wrists. It actually takes something like a news story and the owners getting busted for people to stop believing in bullshit because they can't think for themselves.

But then again there's tons of shit that gives you weird dreams. Like ZMA. Whenever I take that stuff before bed, my dreams are wild and vivid as hell. I also wake up remembering every detail. This is a sign of falling very deep into REM sleep. Alpha brain probably does something similar.

I'm personally holding off on anything nootropics until there are solid studies on its effects are known, positive and negative. And if there are already, please post them, I cbf searching.

It's pretty much like this:

they work alright, but if you're a stimulant taking kind of dude, you'll adjust to them quickly. They do give you gnarly dreams, probably because of the choline in them.

I've been sticking to a constant flow of caffeine via green tea lately and it's been working alright. Also, sleep more.

Sounds interesting to try out.

I already have a few of the ingredients in my daily stack: choline, vinpocetine, and Hyperzine A (all in higher doses than their product). Topped off with 11g of piracetam (across 3 doses).

The problem with a lot of new nootropics is you want to wait until they've been studied more. Anything that influences your brain's chemistry should be treated with care. Even piracetam, which is widely considered safe (I myself take large amounts of it, and have been for over a year), was only discovered about 45 years ago.

Alpha brain has the same ingredients. So it maybe it does work?

Yes I take ephedrine with caffeine daily not only for focus and energy but it has some weight loss benefits as well. I take 16mg ephedrine with 200mg caffeine. I'm basically in the zone for about 4 hours. It's awesome. I fear alpha brain won't match this intensity that I've become accustomed to.

it might for the first week or two (just because it's new shit for your body) but after that you'll most likely adjust.

If only this were legal. I used to love taking ephedrine and caffeine when I could buy it OTC.

Just picked up a bottle. When delivered - will speak of results. I'm a firm believer of mind over matter and placebos - and I enjoy the idea of this prod, and therefore will see results from it. The variable is how great.
