It always amazes me when someone flips the script on an old idea. It reminds me that there's always room to do/create something markedly better than was done previously...

Chopping firewood with traditional axes is often a laborious and even dangerous task. There is always the risk of hitting your own leg with the axe. From this imperfect situation began the pursuit to develop a better axe.

It took several years, thinking and testing different exotic methods of chopping wood that were available for purchase at the time, before the idea was born. The traditional axe uses a wedge-shaped head to split the wood, but could this mechanism be improved by using leverage? From this idea the new axe was born, the Leveraxe.

LOL

Those of us who heat with wood can probably find many many many issues with this "NEW" and "IMPROVED" device. Gimmick.

It's been a while for me, so can someone correct me if I'm wrong, but is that a piece of dry birch he's splitting? If so, then no shit it splits easily.

Just had the weirdest flashback.

First video game machines from abroad, elementary school kids hitting buttons in the dark little wagon, older bullies sitting around forcing you to leave "one life to play" for them.

Don't get killed in the game, but don't get pushed away from the joystick either!

^ still the best axe.

It looks really effective when doing solid wood which splits good and doesn't need much 'cutting' momentum. However, how good is it when cutting branchy wood? Any videos?

LOL, what? It's for SPLITTING.

It's not for cutting or sawing down a tree... it's a splitting axe.
