Am I fucked?

the new credit laws, plus the current economic client, make it virtually impossible for people aged 18-21 to attain credit....which is the age people SHOULD be building credit.

Update, just in case anyone has been wondering what happened:

I finally received the credit reports I had requested in the mail and they all looked fine. The one from Experian said I had a credit report in great standing and everything looked fine on their end.

I was also worried that maybe my personal information was entered correctly with my Social Security #, so I drove over to the local offices and sat down with somebody to review it. It actually all checked out and there was no flags on my account, so that only left paypal as the problem.

I contacted paypal again and got them to put me back into the review pile, but yesterday night I received an email saying that my account had once again been put on the permanent limitation list and was doomed to be closed. At this point, I think my problem is with my personal information on paypal and probably my age entered correctly, but I am so fucking tired of dealing with them, I decided to just give up and I have already switched over to 2checkout.

Anyways, thanks for the help everyone, it was much appreciated!

Definitely start building your credit as soon as you can. I've had a car payment for over a year, and been paying off a small personal credit card every month and I still get declined every time I apply for an AMEX business or personal card. It pisses me off. My actual credit score is near prefect but according to amex I don't have a long enough track record so they still decline me for cards.

Start building up that credit history asap.
