Amazon.com Goes Down, But I Scored A $100 Xbox 360!!

Good job Amazon!

So as many of you may have seen, they were offering the xbox 360 about 10 minutes ago for $100, and a bunch of other normally expensive stuff for way cheaper.

I was sitting on there, and I'm not sure if this worked for anyone else, but I was told 1-click wouldn't work for it, so I opened 15 windows in FireFox (gotta love them tabbed browsers!), closed everything else except for AIM, signed into Amazon and 1-click (2 day free shipping) ordered on all 15 pages about 8-12 seconds after the universal world clock struck 2pm EST. This has worked for me in the past, because the 2 day free shipping 1-click seems to bypass all of the rules for "no 1-click". Hopefully saying that won't kill it again, but screw it, because I actually had one successful purchase on the xbox 360 for a cool $100.

It feels good to have been one of the 1,000 people to score it! But even so, Amazon is still lagging to hell, and you'd think, with allllllllll the money they have that they would know "when you launch a huge short term promo like this, GET MORE SERVERS!!!!"

On top of which there are so many ways to screw with Amazon and get prizes or early sale items without following their rules. Probably because their security team blows. Come on Amazon, be more like the US Government. Spend more on military/security than on shopping and advertising.
