An Office - Or Your House?

Home office all the fucken way. Separate office with a view of the city and hop and a skip to the pool. It would cost me $3 k a month to have something this nice on the commercial side in So Cal. Chosing my house had to do a lot with my office and space for working.

Tax savings, gas savings, overhead elimination make it the only way. Unless you need one, no need to have one.

I'm a home office kind of guy. I've worked from home for 12 years running different kinds of businesses. I think it's all about self discipline and what you're used to. I can do nothing in an office the same way I can do nothing at home. My doing nothing is reading forums and chatting on IRC. Actually some of you might call the work, hahaha. But on a serious note the only way I'd consider and office is if and when I have my own employees. Either that or someone is paying me a VERY LARGE sum of money. Even then I wouldn't commute more then 10-15 mins, because you only need to so much to live comfortably. Really no point in living uncomfortably commuting and reporting for duty so that you can have more money to live just as comfortable and a lot more expensive. Just my old man 2 cents :D

Keep in mind, he in Phillipines - much cheaper labor.

I am using a home office now, but planning to get a real office in August/September. Much easier to focus there, plus I am planning to hire a few people.

50 employees? wtf are you guys doing?

Ha Ha I used to use the school library; does that count as an office? Then I actually rented an office, lucky I was only renting it for 6 months. I started out strong 5 days a week, then 4, then 3…next thing I knew I was spending more time in my boxers at home working (guess that happens where you’re the PIMP, ladies to my left, ladies to my right) I hated driving to the office, I mean shit isn’t that why many of us got in to this…so we can do whatever the fuck we want? However when you really think about it, everyone in this industry works 24/7, so at home or in your office doesn’t really make a difference, as long as your profitable, and having fun
