Another iPad 'killer' bites the dust

OMG! Are you serious?! The videos looked very promising and I was really looking forward to it. R.I.P. Courier

Geez. The iPad has so many places it could be improved in. Seems like companies could identify those and market it the same way they did the android.

Yep, pretty annoying the Slate was killed. I don't want to be an enabler to that fucktard steve jobs so I need some kind of good alternative to the iPad.

i was thinking this could be cool, but then again, i didnt like the black bar in the middle of whatever Movie, photo, book, etc. that i would assume one would see everytime something was viewed in full screen.

OMG another shitty Microsoft product got canned! Did anyone ever think it really stood a chance?

The HP Slate was also killed today... I'd almost guarantee it's because of the Palm acquisition and they will be putting out a kick ass WebOS based tablet later this year.

I hope so, Android is great for phones but I don't want to try and do any real computing on a bunch of shittily coded java apps.

anybody here playing the ipad content game? Looks like the only way to print monies from ipad. .

What sort of content are you thinking about? It seems like most of the money to be made is in apps that access premium services.. but those are all one-time purchases, except a few like WSJ. You need to sell a hell of a lot of apps at a few bucks each for it to be worthwhile that way.

fuck tablets they are stupid anyways. just open up your damn laptop and have an _actual_ keyboard

I used an iPad today in the apple store...a lot cooler than I was expecting...more that likely will purchase in the future...I thought it was going to be dumb...but touch based email and web browsing is pretty cool.
