Any golfers here? What's in your bag? What do you shoot?

Me personally, I use to caddy, and have been out of the game for the last year and a half, or two years, and getting back in to it:
Driver: Taylor Made R11S, nice driver but a bit much with the face adjustments. Fix yo swing and you won't have to open or close your face that much. Overall like it though.
Woods: 3 Ping G15 Wood, very nice wood that is easy to hit.
Hybrids: 2 hybrid, Ping G15, it's OK, gets the job done.
Irons: Ping G15s 4 iron through 9 iron.
Wedges: Cleveland 588 Wedges, 48, 54, 60
Putter: Odyssey 2 Ball White Ice Mallet

I've been shooting over 100 in 18 typically but it's early and still getting use to my gear. Swing is improving rapidly.

If by ”golfers” you mean ”hackers” then count me in! The woods in my bag are really made of wood though...

I would love to try golf, I'll practice any sport that involves getting outside and exercising . I think exercise is really important, especially after reading that thread about sitting in a computer chair all day.

this thread reminded me of this video

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4w7H48tBS8"]George Carlin about golfing - YouTube[/ame]

Last time I played it was a public course. Some fat cow ran my ball over with her cart. Private courses ftw.

What the fuck happened to golf in the last 10 years? I wish George Carlin was right, there are too many trashy people playing and they are ruining the game. It's like reading; it was better before everyone could do it :)

It took my five fucking edits to make that post, so maybe I'm the one who's trashy.

Love golf but have been restricted the past few years due to my health. I played in HS, won a few local junior tournaments and almost qualified for the USGA Junior Amateur tourney.

Anyways, still have my bag as I want to get out and start playing as soon as things get better. Here is what I have (old school here)

Driver - Taylor Made 2 Bubble w/ Stiff Shaft 8 degrees
3 Wood - Titleist 975F 14 degrees
3 through PW - Ping ISI Blue Dot
52 degree Gap wedge - Titleist Vokey Wedge
56 degree Gap wedge - Titleist Vokey Wedge
60 degree Gap wedge - Titleist Vokey Wedge
Putter - Ping Sedona (blade style putter)

Just started golfing seriously for the first time in 3 years, glad to still be in single figures (8.) As for clubs, a set of Hippos and some Taylor Made old school woods. It's always amusing beating people with all the fancy latest clubs, balls etc. you know... the glove wearing type.

Anyway, if you're shooting 80+ clubs don't mean shit.

I haven't played seriously in 15+ years. I hit McGregors with a custom driver and I forget the putter, but it works. I was driving over 300 and putting well, but chipping needed work.

Reminds me of a funny story. When my grandpa was 90 or so he took his golf cart in to get the seat replaced because it was worn and ripping. The guy asked him why he didn't buy a new cart. Grandpa says I'm 90 why would I want to buy a new cart at my age. The guy closed the deal with "If I could still play golf at 90 I'd buy a new cart". Last time I played him he was 92 and he still beat me.

My index is a 4.1 right now...

Old Taylor Made tour burner driver and 3 wood - why change when you can hit it 300 down the middle every time!
ping i20 irons P-4
cleveland g16 60,56,52

i love golf...i even made a site to keep track of my handicap...and reviews of places i play....doesnt make me a cent, but i love putting my scores in there..lol

These days, i shoot high 80's low 90's...im looking to break 80 this summer. Best game ever so far is 81, so ill need to be on top of my game..lol
I have Cleveland irons, and Callaway drivers and woods

I play as often as a can but still maintain about a 10 handicap. I just don't play enough but it's definitely my escape from the day to day.

Driver: Nike VR Pro 8.5 Degree Open +1
Fairway: Mizuno MX (Have to check the model)
Irons: Mizuno MX 23's - I can't find a set of iron's to replace these yet. They hit great.
Wedges: 52, 56, 60 Degree
Putter: Odyssey Backstryke 2-Ball

I've been playing seriously since I was about 16. Played 3 years in high school after I injured my arm and couldn't play baseball in the spring season.

I typically play or practice a couple times a week and I live on a course where I'm a member so that makes it pretty convenient to play more. My index is a 2.1 at the moment, which is the lowest I've been. Not sure if I'll ever get down to scratch, but I'm still trying.

Here's what's in my bag currently.

Titleist 910D 8.5* Driver
Titleist 910Fd 13.5* 3 wood
Titleist 910h 19* hybrid
4-PW Callaway Prototype muscleback irons
52,56,60 Titleist Vokey spin milled wedges
Oddysey White Hot #9 putter.

I actually just got back into the game once Rage9 started talking about it. I played once or twice a year from 8-14 and then quit. I'm now 22. I'm playing with my late Grandfather's clubs, must be around 10-20 years old.

My uncle told me to tee off with my woods, not my drivers (because they are so innacurate), and that's been working very well for me.

I have a decent iron game, just need to hone in the accuracy.

My short game is god awful. My putting is decent.

I've been 3x this year. I most recently finished off a back 9 with 5 straight bogies. If I can improve my awful short game, then I think I can break 100.

In San Diego this week, planning on hitting up a chip and putt with the uncle. Will post back with dem results.

I don't play as much as I should but golf is a good reason to drink beer and smoke cigars with my friends. I have played golf most of my life.

Driver is a Nike Victory Red Tour 8.5 degree
Finally picked up a fairway wood last year which is a 4W Nike Victory. (probably 10 years without a fairway wood before last year)
No utility clubs.
2-LW are Nike TW Blades
Putter is a Scott Cameron Newport
Titlist PRO-V1 non-star

With age I have mellowed out over the years and I don't care what I shoot anymore but I used to be a prolific golf club thrower.

If I had a handicap it would be in the single digits

In the bag:

Driver: TaylorMade SuperFast 1.0 w/ upgraded shaft - 9.5 degree
3Wood: TaylorMade Burner
3 & 5 Hybrid: TaylorMade Burner - 19 and 21 degree
6-SW: Nike Pro Victory Red Fully Cavity - Upgraded shafts, fitted for loft/lie
Lob Wedge: 58 degree Callaway X Jaws
Putter: 34' Nike Method Putter, Model 02
Ball: Titleist ProV1

I recommend Golf With AJ videos for anyone who is inconsistent with contact.

He unlocked the "secret" of golf for me, whereas I used to hack at the ball like an axe to a log, now I turn my hands over while making contact.

He breaks it down beautifully, starting with explaining how the golf club is actually a tool that offers mechanical advantage. And he busts out the guitar and sings.

Easier swing, better contact, and the ball flies. Much more fun to play golf, I owe it to this video.

Ping Irons, TaylorMade Burner Bubble driver is my favorite club to play, a TightLies hybrid, and an old Teardrop putter in my bag.

Can't until the next time I knock the ball around.

Tip #2: join golf club when you can.

Not playing much anymore.. but

Forget what driver is...
Ping g2 3 wood
Ping g2 irons

Would prob shoot 9 over these days.

I don't golf often but when I golf with any regularity (at least once/month) I am a bogey golfer.
