Any Mexican domainers?

About a year ago, I bought the official domain for a bullfighting stadium in Mexico. (I got it for $12.) The domain comes up as the #1 result for the name of the stadium. It's even listed on travel sites, etc.

Has anyone sold domains to companies in Mexico? I haven't gotten any emails from the stadium and their previous site sucked horribly. It doesn't seem like they care. Is this typical in Mexico? I do get emails from people about bullfighting schedules and events, so I know it's still an active business.
 


No, they don't have a site. The only one they have is the one I created on the domain. It actually looks better than the original and is fooling a lot of people judging from the emails I get.
 
In Spain you will find lots of complacent business owners that couldn't give a shit about a "web presence", even those that could obviously greatly benefit from it. They either do not understand it, or they simply do not want to spend the money to make it happen.

I'm going to guess it's a similar situation in Mexico.

I doubt they are going to come to you.
 
Set up a site for their competitor and then they'll come running.

Bonus if you put a red flag on the page

Btw, just make sure there aren't any cartels with ownership in that stadium, or you gonna b headshot

I apologize, I missed that part of your explanation.

I would send them an offer with traffic stats and a screencap of your email inbox to demonstrate the value of it.

It's quite likely that they have very little difficulty getting people to their fights, even without a website.
 
1) Change the website to a peta rant about how bull fighting should be stopped.
2) Show them the site
3) Profit?

It's not really that easy with foreign markets, also for bullfighting most people are going to a stadium for a specific reason so you can't just put up a shitty arena and expect people to actually be fooled and go there.

Besides the legal implications, surely your time is better spent on other projects? It wouldn't be hard for them to win this in an ICANN dispute, especially considering you put up a fake website representing their website.

That's not how business is done in most countries and I'm assuming Mexico is one of them.
