Any of you fuckers tried Ayahuasca?

Already ate enough acid and shrooms when I was 14 to get me through the rest of my life. Tripping is great, but eventually it got to be too much. The heightened awareness and shifted perception probably changed my life. Once I had absorbed those changes into my sober reality, psychedelics were just annoying most of the time - there was no need to do this drug that was gonna make every fucking second way too intense. At that point, heroin was much more attractive. It turned out to even more life changing, only in a different direction.
I've heard DMT is around 1000 times strong than LSD. And supposedly we naturally release DMT in our sleep but not sure if true
Is this the same drug thats known as the "God Root"?
I remember seeing a video or reading about it somewhere about a year ago. Apparently this guy went down there to try it because he was hooked on drugs or some shit? Anyway they call it the god root because some people claim they talk to god while on it (or some kind of higher being). Apparently this higher being will answer all your questions or it can hide shit from you and fuck with you and make you go through a really bad trip.
I would do it. except I heard you can die on it. So I don't even know if its worth it, but if its anything like the mind opening effects shrooms give you it would be tempting.

DMT doesn't detox your body in the traditional sense that we're all used to.
I believe it's more of a detox of the mind in a way.
I know someone who spent about a week straight making it and playing with dosage in his home. I don't think its hard to get the stuff you need to make it.
IIRC the last time he did it he basically took a serious dosage and had a life altering experience that was difficult for him to elaborate with words. It's one of those things you just have to do and experience for yourself to understand the magnitude.
He went from a pack a day and drinking regularly to nothing at all. This was a couple years ago.

Yep that sounds like Ayahuasca, as far as dying from it, my friend told me some 20 year old British guy died from it and the Shamans buried him in the jungle. Crazy shit... but my friend said that the only way to die from it would be to take a dosage that is too high for what you can handle or if you mix it with some other shit, or if you do it with sketchy people that don't know how to prepare it the right way... that's why it's important to do it in the right setting with trusted people.
That might also be iboga you're talking about. That's an African root used by the Bwiti which is very effective in treating drug addiction, particularly opiates. It has a kind of "spirit grandfather" phenomenon where you relive your life, mistakes, personal failings and get a sort of psychedelic kick in the ass. I've never done it, but Daniel Pinchbeck has written some interesting stuff about his experiences.
It's a little harder to make than a good chili verde, but not by much.

Now I want some ecstasy. In my mind, same as shrooms, but more clarity, and no chance of a bad trip. With shrooms it was always a 50/50 chance with me, and you never knew until about an hour into the trip, and if you end up with a bad trip, you're fucked for around 6 - 8 hours.

You might be speaking about Iboga...which is a type of root. Arguably the most beneficial of all the plant medicines.

An ayahuasca journey last from 5-7 hours or so...
ayahuasca is also a much less crude way to cure someone of depression than an SSRI is. Ayahuasca actually makes your serotonin receptors grow...but you don't produce more serotonin but rather use it in a more efficient manner (nothing besides ayahuasca and iboga do this). But...you can not take ayahuasca with anti depressant medication. You have to have some off time...but in many cases after your sessions no more anti depressant medication is needed for years. *I have never had anto depressent medications, I just know it has helped a lot of people with them.
Salvia = salvinorin (totally different than DMT and not included in any ayahuasca mixtures
Caapi Vine = MOAI inhibitor
Chacruna leaf = DMT
mixes = ayahuasca
*There is also about 100 other plants ayahuasceros will use as ad mixuteres
