I don't invest, but if I had experience and a large enough bankroll, then I'd make a play to short gold and crude oil.
I'm junior partner in a couple of paid research sites for Oil and Natural Gas, and one for Gold and mining.
All I can say bro is paid research is pure gold oftentimes, no pun intended.
The free stuff you find on news aggregators, stock forums and the like...well print out what you find on soft paper, and then take it to the toilet and wipe your bum with it.
Mind you, it took me fifteen years of investings and tens of thousands flushed down the drain to learn THAT lesson, so I doubt you'll take my advice right away.

+1 on fool... Never bought a book but a lot of info and advices + you can create a learning account and trade at market prices to see if you can profit before jumping in, caps.fool.com I think... Been a while but that's where I started...
