Anybody have an Audi A5?

I'm probably gonna pick up an Audi A5 today. I've loved this car for a while, and bout time to just get it.

Does anybody else have one?

I noticed that for the price of the car, compared to other cars of similar pricing, like the Infiniti G37, or Lexus GS.. the lease comes out to like $100 a month more for the A5 with the same amount of money down.

I was quoted like $525 a month w/ $3,000 down. Just curious if it's worth that, when I could get a G37 for $418 a month w/ $3,000 down at pretty much the same sticker price.

Fuck you Americans and your cheap ass cars.

An A5 with the 3.2 quattro over here is $106k (US $107.5k)

The RS5 is just under $200k

Audis are awesome.

I currently own an A4. The A5 isn't really my style, but it's still a sweet car. Audis handle like nothing else, and they're made with the strictest attention paid to detail.

Their superbowl commercial for the A8 almost made me shed a tear.

I just traded my 08 S5. I'm anal when it comes to cars. The A5 is pretty much the same car minus the V8 and performance suspension setup & aero kit. Loved my S5. So much I'm thinking of picking another one up. I currently own or have owned:

08 G37
09 BMW 135i
11 BMW M3
08 Audi S5
07 Lexus IS350

Out of all of those the Audi is the best built by far. After 12k miles the Infiniti developed a nice creak/pop from the A-pillar when going over bumps that cause the chassis to flex. Anal? Yes, but I paid $45k for a car with the same problems as my old Honda. Can only imagine at 20,30,40k. The 135i and the M3 creaks everywhere over certain bumps but they are the most fun to drive. The Lexus was too soft and was plauged with electronics issues (this car is in the dealer the most). The Audi on the other hand gave me 22k problem-free miles, miss it every day. Definitely getting another one in the near future. Out of all the cars the Infiniti is the cheapest to maintain/own.

I have the same year+make of is350. havent had any electrical problems with mine. It has 36k miles on it.

If you dont mind me asking, what kind of electrical problems did you encounter?

Have an newer Audi a8, best car I've ever driven. But the a5 Is in a different category, so make sure u drive all cars in that catergory. And your not buying it for the looks and badass lights only. Big decision, test drive.

is that the new 2011?

I just test drove the A8 2011 at The Collection and was blown away

Is that USD? Why can't you just buy the car in Europe and have it shipped?

You guys look like you are all leasing your car, I'm about to get myself a new beast but I was certain buying was better at some point. What are the advantages to lease a car compared to buy, where you keep the car and can resell it?

As I mentioned before, read this thread: Leases

A ton of information in there that opened my eyes to leasing. Even long term (e.g. 6-8 years), it may make more sense to lease if you can get a good deal.

I got the S5 cab, awesome car.

Not sure about financing rates in your area but rates are so low its actually worth it to buy the Audi Vs leasing because their resale value drops much harder than others in its category.

Nav screen died, navigation computer died, drivers power window switch died, rear defroster died, passenger seat motor died, drivers side seat heating/cooling element died, alternator died.

I probably just got a lemon, no one else I know that has this car has as many problems as I have... still leaves a bad taste in my mouth though.

i like my g37s. audi is pretty overpriced IN MY OPINION. but then again i have hormones and want to go fast occasionally.

I would never choose audi over bmw in that price range.

biased - 335 owner, put a5 to shame

I have had M3s and the 650i cab and loved them both, I prefer them to Mercedes... having said that, their new 6 series for 2012 sucks design wise.

My daily driver is a Maserati Granturismo with a few upgrades and I love that. BUT Audi is making some nice cars these days. No question about it.

lol overpriced, as some guy here mentioned... we have to pay 2-3x the price you guys pay. No wonder the US auto industry fell apart when you can get premium German cars extremely cheap, it all makes sense now.
