Anyone ever have surgery?

So, you pay zero taxes?

I pay tax, but if I didn't work I'd pay no tax and I'd still have free surgery.

I was living in the UK the time of my dental surgery, but even if I didn't live there ( and paid 0 tax) I'd still be entitled to free healthcare if I was in the country when I needed surgery.

Come here to the Philippines and you will spend a tenth of that amount. LOL.

I had hernia surgery way back in 2005. Trust me when you're about to undergo surgery, all that shame and embarrassment mean nothing to you. A nurse shaved my pubes and balls before the procedure, with other nurses looking on. I just lay there on the table praying that everything goes well.

Surgery? Yes, twice - repair a broken jaw and a hernia. Not related - or maybe they are - bawChickaBowwaaa..

Good luck man, and make sure you being on her insurance is legit, otherwise they'll weasel out of it in a blink when they get the bill.

Medical tourism is something to think about.

Yeah I was surprised the insurance hasn't tried to pull any stunts because we're not married and my problems started the same month it took effect...

I'm being discriminated against because I am a white, straight, male, I cannot get a legal domestic partnership through the state because you either have to be gay, or one of you has to be over 65 if you're straight to get a domestic partnership. lol We've lived together for 7+ years. Her work benefits made us get joint bank accounts, credit cards, and proof we've lived together for years, then they put me on as a beneficiary more than a year ago. I already hit them with a colonoscopy, endoscopy, 3 mris with contrast of brain, spinal tap, couple grand in blood tests, 15+ neurologist visits, and $400/mo in meds.

I could get married, but my gf would then take on half of my debt from any medical bills I rack up, and honestly she makes over 80k/year and has everything going well and I feel like I'd be dragging her down. We both own a house, I rent mine out and live with her. Plus her parents would never go for a courthouse wedding and I despise everything that makes up a modern wedding.

Had arthroscopic surgery on my knee a few years ago to remove cartilage from a torn meniscus. Insurance deductible was about $1000 if I remember correctly. I tore the left one a few months ago and just haven't scheduled to get it fixed. But it hurts almost daily, so I'll probably have to do something soon. Surgery isn't much fun, but obviously necessary in most cases.

Yeah man. I'm all about eating healthy to stay healthy but sometimes physical pain requires a physical intervention.

The worst part is when it impedes on your enjoyment of life on your personal time, saturdays and sundays as much as during the week, unrelenting. I know I waste a lot of time thinking about it because it's hard not to. Just starts taking up time of your life.
