Anyone here a Newt Gingrich supporter?

Agreed, but there something about him. Hes like a evil genius in your typical bond movie. If he were to become president I have no doubts he would get shit done and nobody would fuck with him because hes got that evil look like he cant wait to drop bombs on some motherfuckers. He's not a dumb guy he knows his shit so I would rather see him win over mitt.

I see your point and I see the appeal.

However the door swings both ways. He could just as well as do shit you wouldn't like very much. Simply because he can. In my opinion that isn't ideal.

My mom likes Newt Gingrich but she's an evangelical Christian.

Yeah, some evangelical/devout christian's love Gingrich because he's a mirror image of themselves, a complete fucking sinner.

...not to insinuate your mother is a cheating whore or anything.

LOL... yea I'm pretty sure she's not. I'm surprised she isn't supporting Santorum to be perfectly honest. I'm not really trying to discuss this shit with her. It will only cause trouble.

I hope he gets elected, because in 10 years from now, I want to go check out this moon base.

I don't really even know, but what's the point of his moon base? Is he going to shoot missiles at Iran from it, or something?

the moon base thing sounds insane to a lot of people, but you have to start the foundation somewhere. The next step in our exploration as a species is out into space. having a moon base would make things a lot easier. Not to mention all the scientific research and military advantages we would get out of it. Is it something we should be doing right now? No... ,but once we get out of this shit hole we are in, expanding our horizons isn't such a bad idea. It may not happen anytime soon, but we can always lay down the first bricks for our future generations.

But isn't that why we started the International Space Station a decade ago?

I don't know, but I'm actually curious. What is Newt saying the benefits of having a moon base are? Or does he just say "moon base!", and hopes everyone will jump up, and cheer about a new way forward?

I mean, if he was talking about researching new propulsion systems, or investing in various areas of physics so we can visit areas in space we currently can't, or expanding the current ISS, then I'd be interested. But a moon base? What possible benefit does that have? It's a shitty little rock that's floating around close to our planet. And I'm no scientist, but I don't think you can simply take technology invented on the moon, and say "ok boys, off to Mars!", and transfer the technology over. I could be wrong, but I highly doubt it's that simple.

So what is he saying the benefits are? Are we going to shoot Chinese satellites down with it, or something? I mean, it's a shitty little dusty rock. There's nothing there.

The real purpose of a moon base is for mining. Whoever gets there and sets up shop first gets dibs on all the best spots.

I'm sure my dad's made it clear to her before.
Obviously not clear enough. I've told my mother straight up shes fucking retard as soon as the last few weeks ago when I had my grandmothers (her mother) funeral. It's hard to smack it in to hoes.

Some people will be turned off by that. However I don't play dumb at religious ceremonies. I run over fuckers and they hate me for it, but I don't care because I don't believe it. However you can only coddle retards for so long, ya know?

The only reason he brought up a Moon Base is because he was in Florida. NASA is dead, we have no shuttles and no space program. Space was a huge industry and employed near everyone around it. With it gone all of the jobs are gone, so all of the supporting businesses are dead.

He has no plan to ever actually make a moon base, its impossible right now and would cost more money than we have. He bought that shit up to pander to the large portion of Florida that is begging for their lives back.

Gingrich is a absolute tool and always has been, I have never heard a positive thing about him during his WHOLE life of politics. I have no second choice, and I will not vote for someone I do not whole heartily believe in ever again. So regardless of what happens I will be voting Ron Paul even if I have to write his name in. So when everything goes to shit under someone else no one can blame me because I voted for them.

Eh, it just doesn't matter to me that much. I don't believe it but no amount of logic is going to change her mind so what's the point? I'm not really trying to reduce my mother to tears -- I'd rather reduce other women to tears.

He says the purpose of the moon base is to have a base from which to do further exploration into space and...

"Nestled among the agency's 200-point mission goals is a proposal to mine the moon for fuel used in fusion reactors -- futuristic power plants that have been demonstrated in proof-of-concept but are likely decades away from commercial deployment.
Helium-3 is considered a safe, environmentally friendly fuel candidate for these generators, and while it is scarce on Earth it is plentiful on the moon."

He wants to fund it 80-90% privately which will remove all the bureacuracy which holds everything in every western country back so much.

If you ask me, it's a more viable plan to save the world than these tree hugger motherfuckers and their wind farms.

I really like how he sounds when he steals Ron Paul's talking points during debates, just like I'm sure his current wife likes how he sounds when he says he'll love her forever and ever.

Not that anyone believes it, but it still *sounds* nice.
