Anyone live / have property in Nebraska?

The residential area near Rosenblatt Stadium is quiet and affordable. Plus there is entertainment near by, which is hard to find in NE. If you thought the humidity in NY at ASE was bad, in NE it is a killer.

I don't see how anyone would want to live in the middle of the country... Ocean ftw.

I used to live in Omaha. Wasn't bad, but not on my list of top places I'd want to live. Unemployment was low, housing very affordable, low crime, good schools etc.

But like you said, ocean FTW. Being able to get to the beach within 20 mins kicks ass.

Hubby is FINALLY out of the Navy, and we're looking to relocate to Nebraska (low cost of living, great school, yadda yadda) around the first of September. Was just wondering if anyone either had rental / lease-to-own property in Nebraska, or could give any advice on family-friendly areas vs. areas to stay away from.

We're wanting to stay out of the city, but be within an hour of any of the three UofN campuses.

Why the fuck would anyone want to live in Nebraska??? I currently live just out side of Des Moines, Iowa, which is the armpit of the world and it is 2 1/2 hrs east of the ass crack of the universe (NEBRASKA)!!!!:action-smiley-052:
If you want to live in this part of the country my suggestion would Kansas City, Ks. You can find some great places to live that are out in the country but are still a short drive to the city.
Just my opinion though.
