anyone live in a small town?

I live in a big small town. Fucking hate it. Everyone gossips and gets in everyones business. Can't walk outside without seeing someone I know.

Everyone here is dumb too, super clicky. Very very stuck up. Kind of weird and backwards. Rude people, haters, bottle of the barrel type crap. LOTS of hicks.

99% of the girls are FAT as fuck.

I'm sure jdomaha can vouche, im from Lincoln. Omaha is way better.

That's how it is for my school. Shocking really, to see how those hot 17-year-old high school girls are now 30 and overweight....some extremely so. Makes me wish I could have froze time back in high school.

I think if I could choose any age to stay at forever it would be 16....old enough to do what you want, and get it some trouble....but young enough to not get into too much trouble if you're caught.

Some truth in it, my city has 3 mcdonalds and 2 starbucks, with 1 more in construction and only has a population of 80k.
 
I live in this silly little armpit of a town in south Alabama. It has a few minor good points, but having to drive more than an hour to eat at anything fancier than McDonald's, or see a movie, close to two hours for a zoo or a watchable play etc. is just kind of absurd. I have been here for just under eleven years, mainly for family issues, and after all that time am itching to be somewhere else. Nomadic by nature, as I imagine a lot of people in this business would find themselves to be if they gave 'perpetual traveling' a chance.

If I remember right, there has to be 50k population for Starbucks to do biz there.
 
Similar situation here. Good on you for getting the fuck out of there - many people do not make it out.
 
I grew up in a tiny ass town in missouri and let me tell you, I got the fuck out of there ASAP.

but now living in FL, everyone I hangout with in my age group (21) just wants to drink and get high like every night, which does not work very well with me because I've never done drugs (I have no plans too either) and I don't drink very often but when I do I get shitfaced and take it overboard (once every other month or so).

Trust me, its really hard to find people to hangout with these days that are into being creative and working on web/business stuff that don't do drugs.

I only know two, and one has a kid.

The point I'm trying to make here is, you should live where ever the people around you make you happy, the place does not really matter. -- If you don't like it move on to another group of people and see how it goes.

I live in a quaint small town called Villa Union in Sinaloa, Mexico. It's just outside of Mazatlan. It's ok I suppose but you can't do things like jogging on the outskirts or you might get kidnapped and have your finger or ear cut off, while madmen hold you for ransom.



Every month or so two or three people get ax murdered and have their dicks and their heads cut off. They like to do the blow-torch to the balls treatment too. Some guy got stabbed to death in the bar last week. Does that happen in your small town? You all should come and visit soon!!

Did you watch him play at Penn State? Was he any good? Can only find a few highlights on youtube and the stuff ESPN provides. Can't wait to watch him play on the Dolphins this year.

yea @bigwill, i hate the clickyness .. i know exactly what ur talkin about ... thats probably my biggest annoyance .. i just wish ppl were more individual, but its not like that with most ppl i know..

and yea i've seen odrick play, hes been starting since his freshmen year, hes a beast
 
Coincidentally no more than 30 minutes after yesterdays post, my son informed me that two people were shot to death in the home on the corner. About five doors down. I looked of the balcony and kids were out riding their bicycles and playing in the street.



With the tenants now chilling in the morgue, the landlord will for sure be looking for new renters if anyone is interested. It's a nice location with a little fruit and vegetable shop just across the street. Come on down! We can be neighbors!
