Anyone not into the whole "social thing" feel like they are missing out?



I used to feel the same way. Then I realized it was a waste of energy. Just try to accept it as a change to how we communicate - and position yourself in such a way so you profit from it.
 
No. Don't join much of anything other than forums. Only log into places like Google, Yahoo, MSN and others to check stats, income levels etc. Did not need internet to get dates, have sex or interact with members of the opposite sex. Which from recollection is what the purpose (not stated but actual) of MySpace and every variant of before or after was.

Hardly play games on devices and still don't buy apps (although there are some to purchase).

Just read an article and some comments on TechCrunch regarding this the other day. Plus there was a video a while back debating the importance of it. Which it is, but that is for businesses primarily. And at that point it tips into private life. Think something was online about a government study on the mind of people using those sites and services in droves...don't recall.

Anyway if it floats your boat so be it.

Its not that facebook has made these people dumber. The grognards are just upset that their geekdom has been threatened by the masses (which have always existed).
