Anyone Over 25 Still Addicted To Video Games?

41, still play games. Current faves are NBA 2k13 and Skyrim (huge fan of bethesda games) on PC. Looking forward to doing multiplayer campaign on the new Halo on X-Box 360 with my eldest son when I get time.

Hard to believe you are 41 :D Your posts look like they are done by some teenager with a rig in his locked room!

Love strategy games + RPGs (Total War, Deus Ex, Star Wars KOTOR etc), but don't have time to play at the moment. Looking forward to taking a few days off soon and indulging.

i'm 26, been getting back into gaming a little. maybe 30 minutes at a time. i go through phases where i never play any, then i'll have phases where i'll play for a little here and there. i love them but there's other more important things that require time. i think there's benefits to them in terms of improving hand/eye coordination and other aspects of brain development

41 and I play PC games on the regular. Right now playing Planetside 2 and Battlefield 3.

For me its a required unwind, decompression time period. It mentally does something for me and I sleep better.

28 here and hell yes LOL my fiancee and I play games every night :) Just waiting for final fantasy 14 to roll out in Jan.. currently playing Diablo 3 and Borderlands 2 to hold me over. PC gamer ftw

32 yo. Play lots of games. When people ask me arent i too old i TRY to explain how today's games are so well made that i would rather play Modern Warfare 2 and 3 (single player) than watch an action movie, would rather play Fallout instead of reading an adventure book, and how strategy games today have more breadth than chess...
Fixed your post.

I tried to get addicted to MMOs, couldn't do it. Tried with various games, but they just aren't fun for me at all. The idea of an MMO is really fun for me which is why I'll try just about every MMO and get bored 5-10 hours later. I just wish they could be executed a little better in terms of gameplay. Same deal with most RPGs.

Had a streak of about a year or two where I would play CS 1-4 hours/day but that's about it. Every once in awhile I'll get hooked on something for a week or so, but I haven't managed to play very many games at a "serious" level for any significant period of time other than CS.

It's hard for me to play single player games because most games are lacking in the gameplay department and it's really hard to play with the game outside how the developer wants you to experience it. The games are also too damn long. Anything over six hours and the chances I beat it or even get halfway through drops drastically. I don't even know why they make games longer than 10 hours these days. The completion rate for games is shit horrible, like not even 50% for a lot of games.

These days I'll DM on CS a few times a week or play some Quake if I can find anyone to play with. I've been trying some TCGs out as well. Might just switch to poker in the long run, but it's not as sexy.

Nowadays I'm a casual, play COD maybe 1 hour a week. Can't wait for the PS4 / XBOX 720 ought. In 2020s, the arrival of photorealism video games. FUCK YEAH.
