Anything new and exciting in the mouse business?

Some people like trackballs, I love this.

Evoluent, its a hundred and some odd... but well worth the price.

Edit: that pic sucked, plz something better next time.

Yeah, I switched to a vertical mouse myself and my wrist thanks me. This combined with a wrist support has gotten rid of the RSI I had.

I use this one by Anker which I give a 4 out of 5 stars. You get used to it very quickly. The only downside to these things is that I keep knocking it over.

I used the + version of the Roccat Kone for a couple years...

ROCCAT STUDIOS V3.0 - PRODUCTS » Gaming Mice » ROCCAT Kone XTD

It's a good mouse if you've got large hands. Corded, 8200 dpi laser, 4 x 5g weights. I only switched it up as the soft touch rubberized coating was starting to wear off.

(yes, that's right, the rubberized coating on my Kone was starting to wear off)

Replaced it recently with the Corsair M65...

Vengeance

Smaller mouse, nicely textured, corded, 8200 dpi laser, nice metal chassis, 3 removable weights. So far I really like it.

I might give this one a try. Digging the extra switches...

One thing about my mice is I have the pointer speed maxed in my settings. I literally have to move my hand about 1/2" to cover two screens width. Anyone who sits down in front of my computer has a hard time using my mouse, but I'm completely used to it and am accurate with it. The small amount of movement saves me from any repetitive stress type injuries.

I've tried plenty of expensive but shitty wireless mice, with gaming issues, battery issues, break if you drop them on the floor...

My current mouse is very different though. Logitech performance mouse MX. Yes, it's cordless. But you can drop it on the floor, it'll keep working. You can release the scroll wheel, with one button press, to spin freely. You can use it from far away. You can customise the 9 buttons to do whatever you want. There are no issues with gaming, I can't tell the difference between that and a corded mouse in terms of response time.

The battery lasts a week or so of constant use, and if you want to charge it, it has a micro USB port on the front, so you can charge it and continue to use it like a corded mouse. The battery seems to last for years, but if you do need to change it, you can use a standard AAA rechargeable battery. It's a laser mouse, and is the only mouse I saw that's able to track on glass, even a glass cup. It has lights to tell you the DPI setting and battery status. It's ergonomic, too.

^ I like it a lot, a friend has it, I'd get one for myself but can't find a left handed version.

Yeah, I had never imagined I need this until I tried it.

That part is the deal breaker. Im sure they have a corded version of this. Thanks will check that out.

I've got the exact same mouse.

I've had it for about a year. I like it.

I'd say a battery charge usually lasts a month easy. You can charge it while you work so it's a non-issue.

And if you really want it corded you can just keep the charger plugged in to it.

I rarely play games or do anything that requires a nice mouse. I bought it because it looked comfortable and I was sick of my old one. If I lost or broke it I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.

I use it with OSX 90% of the time. I only mention that because I'm a big fan of the trackpad on my MacBook, I like Apple stuff, but I prefer this over a magic mouse/trackpad on my desktop.

Answered in the posts above mine, and it comes with an extension lead if you need it. Why are you so opposed to a cordless mouse?

P.S. RE the charge - that's using it all day, everyday, with not many breaks, 10 AM to 11PM, Monday-Sunday, and lasts 1-2 weeks.

I've used the Logitech Performance MX for years and I love it. I suppose you could just leave the USB cord plugged in although I find it to be quite annoying while charging.

Also....please do not post any more tranny pics, even if it is post-op.

I've also used the Logitech Performance MX for a while, great mouse. I also had it's former incarnation Logitech MX Revolution which was a pretty good mouse too.

These days I rock it's gaming brother the Logitech G700s which is a fantastic mouse too. You really can't go wrong on that line.

I'm rocking this one too. The precision and trueness I thought was better on the Revolution. I've been wanting to get a new mouse but it seems odd to me that Logitech doesn't cater to the productivity group anymore. They haven't released a new version of this mouse in years. It kinda pisses me off actually.

Bloody hipsters. I'm sporting one of these really cool probably $2 mouses' that Dell gives with their laptops. I must love them though, because I have like three of them. Either that, or I go through laptops too much for my own good, and should stop buying Dell.

Does a better mouse really improve your productivity though? I just really can't see it. Maybe if you're doing video editing and things of that nature, but for standard work???

No, unless you play games. A bigger mousepad is always nice though.

I use the exact same one - highly recommend it.
