AP Poll Puts McCain and Obama to a near tie.

I'm getting suspicious. All the last elections have come down to the wire no matter what the gap then theres all the talk about possible voting fraud and states insisting on electronic voting machines which can only happen if the race is close enough to cheat.

I mean com'n obama alone got more votes during the primaries than all the republican candidates combined. Doesn't it seem weird that they're suddenly near tied right at the last minute?

If you read your article, they are saying....pretty much every poll except some AP poll taken from 800 "likely voters" (whatever they interpret that to mean; sometimes it means republicans) have them in a dead heat. Every other poll including the WSJ (right leaning paper) has obama ahead by double digits. Sorry, but just cause the AP released it doesnt mean shit.
 
This is a recent one. Done after the last debate. But yeah a month ago it was a different picture.
Plus this is Associated Press. Investors business daily shows McCain also gaining in their poll.
 
1st off, I'm not debating with anyone what the % of difference between these two are. It's totally irrelevant to what actually happens.

You should be very suspicious of our voting system, it's not exactly transparent. We're just supposed to believe that the system works just like we are supposed to believe these 2 jokers are really the most qualified people to lead the greatest country in history. riiiiiiight

This is due to all of the other "serious" republican candidates dropping out early in the primaries. Republicans didn't show up to vote since their candidate was already decided.

On the other side of the coin, Hillary & Obama were neck and neck for months it seamed. Democrats were out voting so they either a> wouldn't have a woman in the white house or b> wouldn't have a minority in the white house.

Sure the total votes were MUCH higher on the democratic side of the ballet. All things considered though, put Ron Paul up against Obama and it's a landslide in RP's favor. The GOP is shooting themselves in the foot almost daily it seems, it's a sad time in our history.
 
I would say let people like Rusky grasp at straws with bogus polls. Except, I know what will happen. When Obama wins, they will scream fraud.
 
No I wont. If Obama wins I will stand behind my president. After all "united we stand". I can understand why some are upset with the last Presidency. Thats why Obama has such an edge right now. But If shit goes down like Jimmy Carter, then I will Bitch. If he does a good job, I wont. We must hold our politicians responsible now matter which party you belong to.
 
I'm simply amazed at McCain's energy. My grandfather is his age and he takes at least 3 or 4 naps a day. Of course those naps could be tied to him chasing after the ladies at his nursing home.
 
It doesn't really matter who is President, they wont do 90% of the shit they say they will do and the 10% of things they might keep their promise about, Congress must tell him its "OK" first....

These electoral maps mean shit because Obama is like +3 or 4 in most of the big battleground states, which means these electoral maps award him the electoral votes all the while the +3 or 4 in the polls is in the margin of error.

Have you looked at real clear politics? He's up an average of 6% in ohio and they only just changed it to leaning. He's up 7% in Virginia and 10.7% in PA. Florida is undecided. Are there any other big battlegrounds that I'm missing?

Same if McCain wins. :Yahoo_29: Here is the thing. Polls do not win elections; votes do. People may be well-intentioned at the polls doing and saying what is politically correct, but they will do what is in their hearts at the voting booth. You see this in markeitng all the time. Remember the McDLT? Polls showed that 9 out of 10 people loved it in their focus groups. How did it do when it became public? Terrible! I mean dread awful! So do not believe the polls. They are a surefire way to get your hopes dashed when the vote is tallied.

This is what true Americans do. They stand behind WHOEVER is voted in. I will stand behind him as well but I will be paying very close attention to EVERY thing he does.

Liberals on the other hand are the one that cry that the elections were stolen and scream for 8 years about how the country and it's leaders suck.
 
I'm sorry I lied! I will stand behind Obama (at least until he turns us into a marxist country) but in no way can I stand behind Pelosi, Reid and Barney "elmer fudd" frank.
