Are Android Phones Ever Coming To Verizon?

Anyone know? Im getting tired of waiting for verizon to come out with a smartphone thats actually good.

I wouldn't expect it until late 2010 if at all. Basically, VZW won't do it unless the competitive disadvantage to NOT have Android will crumble their business. They don't like Google too much.

A couple of events:

• Google bluffed the purchase of key wireless spectrum to force VZW's winning spectrum bid to become "open": 700MHz Auction Yields Many Winners, Including Android | Android Phone Fans
• Then Google tells mom on Verizon: Google Tells Mom on Verizon | Android Phone Fans
• And finally, I wrote why SOME day I think VZW will have Android... but they're going to make it as hard as possible. Same with AT&T:(Why We Think) Verizon Will Have Android Phones | Android Phone Fans

On the flip side, it's quite possible that VZW has the Palm Pre or another WebOS phone by year end... much more likely.
