As a certified drunk, I can safely say I do not fear death. If I did, I wouldn't drink enough alcohol and redbull to kill a horse in one night.
 
I almost bled to death once (freak accident). It's not that bad, it kinda feels like you are blacking out or going to sleep.
 
A fear of death comes directly from a fear of life. He who is not afraid to live in every moment is not afraid to die in every moment.
