ASE New York - Who's Going?

in the confirmation email it says that you must have a business card, photo id and be over 21 to attend. the photo id/21 isnt a problem but i dont have any biz cards -- do i really need to get like a biz card made to attend ase? is a credit card w/ biz name on it sufficient?

A business card isn't required. I called them about it and had to ask myself when I made my reservations.

I think this is fitting for AMs:

I'm so there - I live an hour away so I said why not?

Can't wait to hear Jon's speech and meet you all.

Vincent,

I got the Silver - I'm just going to chill and meet people....looking things over gold really offers some great things though.

I was thinking about going, but it clashes with the weekend I set aside to take my girlfriend to Rome.

Preserving my balls ftw.

I'm gonna make the effort to get across to the States for the next of these conference shindigs though. They sound like just my kind of meatfeast.

Looks like I have to catch a red-eye to be there Sunday morning due to being in the line-up at a wedding Saturday night. I think I'll stay in town through the next weekend though.

Didn't get to meet very many WF peeps at ASW, so looking forward to to changing that this time around.

The London is by far the best place to stay at for this conf. I've stayed there probably 10-15 times in the past and it might be my favorite hotel in the US. The rooms are pimppp and the service is the bomb as well. Very clean, very modern, and the drapes are electronic opening haha. And free wifi of course.

@NickRac, I'm local and happy to help out. But we'll be doing Meetup202 at this time as well, which should be a huge overlap with network sponsorship, etc, so don't know if it's worth it.

FYI, anyone looking to get a nice place for cheap, check out Craigslist's sublets to rent out whole apartments for like $50-$200 a night. A lot of people rent short term to out of towners...Anywhere in Manhattan is an easy commute, so location is not really an issue.

I booked at the London which is across the street from the Hilton. It's a much nicer but more expensive place, Gordon Ramsay is the fucking head chef. I am pumped.

really good restaurant, but if you plan to eat there, you better make reservations way in advance. The actual dining room has less then 10 tables i believe. I ate there once.

Just booked my room and flight. Staying at the Hilton, should be a blast. Keep me posted on the meetup. Going to be my first conference. I'll be getting in Sunday Afternoon, got a comp'd platinum pass. I'd be there earlier but the day before is graduation.

Time to start my post-college life with a bang :)

Hit me on AIM if you wanna talk or meet up at the conf. Looking forward to meeting a bunch of WFers.
