ASE New York - Who's Going?

I know Copeac's throwing a big party (as usual?). Not sure on the details, but their Vegas party was pretty good.

Thanks for the link Spades, I'm considering either Millennium or the Marriott Marquis also in Time Square.

booked at London. arriving Saturday. this time i'm bringing one of my homies to make sure i don't get robbed if and when i black out. fool me once.

I don't care if there are parties or not. I figure this just gives us a chance to all meet up on our own and enjoy the NYC nightlife.

What's the best way to get messages out to each other? Twitter?

For anybody tempted to take an "illegal" (not licensed by the the Taxi & Limo Commission) ride from the airport - check this out: HIJACKED AIRPORT PICKUP VAN LEADS POLICE ON 7-MILE CHASE FROM JFK AIRPORT - New York Post

oh please, gypsy cabs ad the element of danger and surprise. until they crash and have no insurance.

In all seriousness, I personally find that Carmel Car service (212-666-6666) has the most professional drivers and totally fair prices. I take them from NYC to NJ at least once a week. The prices are about half of what a yellow cab and some other car services would charge to go to NJ.

This only applies to traveling outside into or out of manhattan. In manhattan, stick with subways or yellow cabs (subways are almost always faster than cabs during the daytime).

anyone wanna get reallly wasted outside of the show. let me know. before or after. gimmme or dreo (sorry im calling you out too, i dont think you care) a shout. we'll go to some college bars and just plain fucked up bars.... pm me for my number : P

Posting right here is a good way, because everybody likes reading STS.

This will be my first Affiliate Summit, having already attended 3 ad Tech shows (2 NY, 1 SF), and Search Engine Strategies. How does it stack up against the other events? I have attended several different kinds of trade shows in various fields, and nothing compares to affiliate trade shows for giveaways, parties and swag. It's great being in this business and feeling catered to.

If I did organize a WF meetup, we'd be limited to like 150 people as the rooms available are 4 times as expensive as Vegas and 1/2 as large. [Oh yea, no sponsors yet either!]

Damn. Try asking Tatto lol. How many people did we have at the last one? I don't think it was close to 150 was it?

200 came and went throughout the night if I recall, but the most we had int he room at any given time was about 100, give or take.

I was watching UFC 100 tonight and I think it said UFC 101 is August 8th which is the night I'm coming in.

Would anybody else be up for finding a place to watch it?

What is it about affiliate marketers and booze? I go to the trade show parties and see affiliates getting thoroughly pickled, but there's no food except for martini olives. A few people here have mentioned drinking problems.

I drink only on occasion, and never when I drive. Not that I'm judging. Just saying.
