Yeah I'd figure they probably get it for like a 24hr period. Sort of like a day fishing license. But instead of fishing they just rough up hippies, go grab some lunch, maybe come back in the late afternoon, etc.
I've had police/SID/Narcotics Team/SWAT in my house more times than I can count on one hand. Yet there's not a single blemish on my record. I even made the front page of the local paper once. Thank god for high-priced, bad ass attorneys.

I used to get the "pot spotters" flying overhead at night, where they use infrared scopes to look for abnormal heat sources. My place would draw attention because it fits the profile- I have a bunch of development servers in one room here, which draws more power than normal and the room is about 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the house.
Really, they don't need all that around here. Usually some guy gets in a fight with his wife or GF and the cops go over there, she gets pissed and tells them where the guy keeps his plants. One time, they busted someone growing plants in the flower bed in the front yard.
After the cops get lots of pictures with them and the plants, they take the plants to where they train the state troopers and burn them in a field while everyone stands around and smells the smoke.

Actually, now that I think about it (that was in the early 90's) I think they searched the house, but I wouldn't let them in the garage because it wasn't on the warrant, so they came back later. I got away that time, but they made me pay big time not long after. Lesson learned - don't fuck with the boys in blue...
i haven't really had gains. i just lost 100 lbs haha. im trying to put some mass on now though.
