Rapid growth by diversification
In this quadrant, you should develop new competences and simultaneously take
them into new markets where significant growth opportunities are known to exist.
This option should be analysed carefully in conjunction with the diversification
option discussed below under product/market choices, because it involves the
highest level of risk – but, enticingly, the highest potential returns!
Once core competences are identified and growth choices analysed, project
teams (or individuals) can be assigned to them, improving those in existing
markets or developing new ones for existing and new markets, depending on the
chosen strategy.
