All customer service still goes to Aweber I think. The only real difference between this and the higher priced service is all the analytics functionality (open rates...)

I'm moving to iContact so don't know how good/bad they are yet, but they seem to have handled a similar situation much better:

Aweber still has major security issues, like sending both your username and password in an unsecured email when you ask to cancel your account.
 
Just a quick note to anyone consider Mailchimp, there's a lot of industries they don't allow at all. Of coursse, they didn't tell me this until I'd build a big enough list of opt-ins and was sending my first campaign

I remember reading about mailchimp's shifty relationship with affiliates a long time ago also, but I forget where. I always figured it was common knowledge.

I remember because I had little to no money when I first started out and mailchimp's free 1000 subscriber option was sick, but then I kept on hearing countless stories of affiliates getting shut down for promoting cb, cpa, you name it.

Theres got to be ways to fly under the radar or maybe its just a case by case thing, but either way definitely not worth the risk.
 
Has anyone tried autoresponseplus.com? It is a self hosted system and the guys at mindvalleylabs had recommended it in one of their messages.

BTW I use MailChimp for my lists but those restrictions look kinda weird. No idea why they would make such a dick move.

Found out when my first email drop was rejected and sending disabled on my account. Emailed customer support and they said dating (the list niche) wasn't allowed at all. And it was regular dating, not adult.

I tried importing the Mailchimp data to iContact, they require another optin email sent. I then imported data to constantcontact, they allow importing without another optin. Isn't as easy to use as Mailchimp but Email drop sent, all good.

I signed up to MailChimp few hours ago and having the same opinion now.
 
Looks like Aweber is worth its $19 compared to Free MailChimp - For own product mailing lists - to promote some of my SEO related products?

Any suggestions?

P. S : I am not into email marketing yet, so I may sound stupid!
