Back in Canada, and it's awesome.

Random, but I liked Earl's. Something about a pizza and salad I got in BC many moons ago sticks in my mind. :) Glaciers are pretty cool, too since we don't have many around here.

Earl's is OK but Milestones is better IMO. Hit the one up in Yaletown. Within two blocks from there are some of my favorite restaurants... Rodney's Oyster Bar and Bistro Sakana (great Japanese). The Yaletown Brew Pub is OK too and Urban Thai as well. The Cactus Club is good for the scenery and the Shark Club is a great place to watch hockey (and the scenery there is nice too).

I'm also a transplanted Canadian living in Australia. I *don't* miss being cold though. Heaps of similarities between the two countries for sure.

I can't believe The Tragically Hip hasn't been mentioned yet. Best band. Ever.

How about just being able to watch hockey on TV. I went to the US during the finals of the Stanley cup and people wouldn't switch the channel from Dr. Phil. I shit you not.

plus, try finding that game on your hotel room TV.

decriminalization, squamish, slack alice's, a&w drive thru's and a bunch of amazing mountains in interior bc.

for starters.

i just moved to costa rica and already i am missing my friends and family. its hard to leave that all behind. but to the cold weather i dont think ill miss it for a loong looong time sure the snow is "pretty" but that doesnt make it worth walking down the street and your foot going in a hidden pool of water that completly ruins your day

The first thing I'm doing when I'm well off enough to work on my own is never seeing another Canadian winter... you did the right thing, trust me. lol

Just come back for a month or two in summer and see your friends then, build an empire of friends in costa rica for when your there.

Aero bars FTW. The mint ones are the best. You people with your Reeces Pieces and suck it! (although I do like peanut butter M&Ms)
I'll agree with the Canada - snow = Australia part. Canadian beer is good too. Nice & full. Not too heavy like Englands, not too thin and urine tasting, like, well, anything by Anheuser-Busch.
And their national sport is even more violent than ours!

Hannah: Bogans, dear... we call them "bogans"

Can we go with Australia - Year-Round-Bikini-Weather + snow = Canada?
