Bangkok hotel recommendation

In Residence Bangkok Sukhumvit Bangkok Thailand - Best discount hotel rates

This place is awesome. Was only planning on staying 2 nights, but ended up staying around a week because I was so comfortable there and getting shit done.
The rooms are massive and luxury, great work space and in room wifi, full fitness facility, and right around the corner from good bars.

Lol, I actually just booked this for my first night. It's the former Radisson Suites. Good to hear you liked it.

I am thinking of trying Four Points Sheraton after that for two days, then Aloft Suk 11 for the next weekend, then onwards 3 days to either Pattaya or Hua Hin for a bit of sun and swim.

That leaves 4 days in between, which will mostly be business and a place to save some money on hotels.

Any recommendations for a hotel in the 1500-2000 baht range? Citadines perhaps?

Four Points Sheraton looks like a nice place. I used to take Thai classes at the Times Square building and would look out over their rooftop pool for most of class :-)

BTW, you might have to be more specific on Citadines. There are more than one in Bangkok.

Citadines Sukhumvit 11 Bangkok
Citadines Sukhumvit 16 Bangkok
Citadines Sukhumvit 23 Bangkok
Citadines Sukhumvit 8 Bangkok
Ascott Sathorn Bangkok
Somerset Lake Point Bangkok
Somerset Park Suanplu Bangkok
Somerset Sukhumvit Thonglor Bangkok
Vic3 Bangkok

Yes, I was thinking one of the Citadines which are more like serviced apartments. Stayed there before, nice but small rooms.

Here's what I've booked so far:

1 night at Radisson Suiteshttp://www.radisson.com/bangkok-hotel-th-10110/thabakk
2 nights at Sheraton Four Points
2 nights at Aloft Starwood

That leaves 3 consecutive nights. I am considering Novotel Fenix, Dream Hotel and Park Plaza Suk 18, then for the last night I will use my Hotels.com points and book The Peninsula.

I am of course booking these hotels through the Hotels.com affiliate program giving me 10% discount there and then add 10% from the Hotels.com rewards program for a total of 20% discount. Then I'll write reviews on each hotel which goes on my Thailand site, which in turn will generate some commissions.

Anyway, this thread may be of help to others looking for hotels in Bangkok.
