Best Buy employee fired because of mocking iPhone? WTF?

Turns out BestBuy doesn't think it's hilarious...the guy got suspended and will probably get fired.

Wow, what a dumbfuck move. I don't see how the video could have negatively affected their sales in anyway (considering the fact that they sell the EVO 4G as well and Best Buy isn't mentioned in any way). The bad PR of firing your employee over creatively expressing his distaste for a product, however, likely will.

Hopefully he takes Gizmodo up on their offer:

Was the guy an hourly or salary employee? Did he say anything against best buy itself? What he does in his own time isn't of concern to best buy especially if he didn't bring them into it. That'd be wrongful termination right there.

edit: I read up, seems in other videos he did bring them into it.
