Namecheap FTW!
I can't stand Godaddy. Had a couple of domains with them and always something was wrong and I had to pay some extra fees, than again, and then again..

I've never had a problem with Namecheap though..

Agreed.. I hate to pay the private whois service.. it is a free service in another registrar..

Anyway,, vote for namecheap

I have 17 more domains registration and hosting from a web hosting dubai company (bw-hosting.com), they are performing very well as a reliable web hosting services company.

I'm really confused after reading all this. I have decided that Namecheap is better in the opinion of many. Does it also have the best hosting?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

In general, it is best to use separate companies for registration and hosting, and to also use a hosting company that has hosting as their primary focus.

how the fuck did godaddy even make it on that list? Maybe "whats most popular", but only because it has high media coverage. I personally fucking hate those goons.

1and1 has good prices etc, but their billing system is fucking trap
today as soon as I received a random invoice for a domain I don't have anymore this thread came to my mind
and you need to call them to have them check your things, with an email they won't move a finger

Hi Dude,
It is a realistic analysis regarding the best domain registrars of the world. 1&1 is not reliable according to my view point. It takes too much time in forwarding a complaint that can be more than 1 or 2 months sometimes. Netfirms can be considered reliable in some matters only. But the users can get a strange site that is called doteasy free web hosting. It is awesome to use for the domain registration purposes. You can also use dynadot.com that is simple and straightforward. I would like to vote for dynadot.com that is a little bit cheaper rather than others.

internet.bs to raise their prices on Jan 14
.com registrations from $7.99 to $8.99 and renewals at $9.38

namecheap is the best domain registrar. They are customer customer caring and their servers are the best. Their website tools for a new user as friendly and even if you are a new webmaster like me then it will help you better. Also they are cheap.

NameCheap is nothing more than a 2 bit reseller whose entire business model involved poaching GoDaddy customers. Once SOPA passes they are done.

Ever try to call NameCheap on the phone? Oh wait you can't.

They don't even have a business address they use a Mail Drop box they buy from Regus HQ that is shared by dozens of other businesses.

I've had nothing but problems with them... bunch of assholes.

Botched a domain transfer, then cancelled it without notifying me which caused me to lose the domain.

Refused to refund my money... claimed they had a "credit" in my account... but I couldn't access my account because the froze it when I filed a dispute with Paypal to get my money back.

Pure Shit.

GoDaddy has a shitty annoying upsell process... but when push comes to shove you can always get them on the phone and they will take care of things.

Godaddy for me although it has its downsides.

Pros
* Market share - everyone has an account there making it easy for domain sellers to transfer domains.
* Numerous coupon codes
* Ability to buy through your own affiliate link
* Ability to list domains for sale in their auction and premium domain listings.

Cons
* Clunky interface, slow at times
* Login timout is way too short
* Numerous upsells at checkout

i vote for removal of godaddy off the fuckin list. they dont need to make something so simple, so complex (the control panel). Dam site gets confusing at times.
