Best Luxury Hotels in Carribbean?

Spent a week at the Rio Mar Beach Resort and Spa in Rio Grande Puerto Rico last year. It was incredible and you're technically not leaving the country. After a pretty shady experience in Venezuela, that was a welcome change.

Harbour Island in the Bahamas. It is my happy place.

Pink Sands, Coral Sands, Dunmore Club. . . all are phenomenal. There are only a few cars on the island [everyone uses golf carts], the sand is literally pink, the water is crystal clear, the restaurants are incredible and you can spend a whole day on the beach seeing maybe 3-4 other people. Pink Sands is a go-to spot for celebs. Check it out, you will love it.

Check out La Luna in Grenada. Haven't been there in a few years but went there for a week with my chick and loved it. Totally awesome. Grenada is also an incredible island... LaLuna | Grenada Hotel Resort & Spa, Grenada Hotels, Grenada Resorts

I stayed 5 minutes from this hotel, but our last night ended up having dinner there. Probably the nicest spot on the island. The dinner was excellent. I believe the head chef is from France.

We also took a ferry to Carriacou and stayed there a few nights, went to the Tobago Cays, Union Island, it was excellent.

My favorite place I have stayed is in Aruba:
Bucuti & Tara Beach Resorts, Aruba's Adult-Only Beach Resort

This hotel is off the chain, and the beach is absurd. I have been to Aruba 3 times now and have stayed at a few different hotels. Bucuti is the best.

Aruba is out of the hurricane belt, gets hardly no rainfall and is like 85-95 degrees every day.

My goal is buy a house on Aruba one day.

Is this thread still alive?? I'm sure the OP has taken his vacation already lol but maybe this thread can still help others? Anyway, in my opinion you can't beat Tryall Estate, Round Hill or Goldeneye (where Ian Fleming wrote James Bond) All in Jamaica. in terms of luxury and privacy. The trident is pretty good too.

Stayed at a Couples resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica for my honeymoon last year. It was awesome. Sans Souci, Jamaica All Inclusive Vacations Offer Beautiful Travels in the Caribbean| Couples Resorts Jamaica

Completely all-inclusive. Didn't have to touch my wallet the entire eight days we were there, and never had to leave the resort. Complete relaxation. Had a room overlooking the Caribbean Sea, super warm water, a ton of pools, free food and drinks, massive beachfront buffet events several times a week. Man, it was paradise. The employees were awesome. Free room service, too. We ate six times a day.

Itching to go back soon. I think it was around $5K for eight days and the flight.

Yeah, the Caribbean and Jamaica specifically are famous for all inclusive resorts. The most popular are the Sandals group of hotels (owned and operated by Jamaicans) which include "Beaches" the family one. Sandals the adults only one, and Couples which is, you guessed it, aimed at couples. All super inclusive hotels, amazing service... all you can eat food/drinks (including fine dining and room service... and free activities (clubs, water sports, gym, spa etc etc) . Inclusive hotels are extremely common in Jamaica.

How about The Atlantis/Paradise Island in the Bahamas? I was there and it was awesome.

I've seen the ads, seems pretty damn amazing. Glad to hear you had a good time. Its one of those places I've always wanted to go to! It's just that, living in the Caribbean, I can't seem to justify the airfare to go to a hotel when I can have a similar experience right here at home. Maybe someday though.

Yeah, I don't get people who goto resorts in places over seas then just sit in the resort.

Last time I went to the Caribbean I stayed at a house in St. Croix, if anyone has ever been there you know how run down it is. Rented a sick ass mansion on the water that was gated. Rented dirt bikes and went all over the rain forest, rented a jeep and hit jeep trails. Hiked and watch the baby sea turtles hatching. Ate all local food places, all local stuff.

My girlfriend at the time was kinda of scared. But she sucked it up.

I've stayed here twice: Home page | St Lucia Luxury Villa Rental | Caribbean Accommodation

Best villa in St Lucia that no one really knows about. Place is huge. Movie theater, game room, giant living room, piano bar, 4 BR, awesome infinity pool with bar and grill. All the help is awesome. Fred is the resident concierge and is a straight up cool dude. If money isn't an issue this is the place.

I also frequent Jamaica quite a bit and we always stay at Villa Sur Mer. They have one big villa on the ocean side and 8 cottages across the street. Runs from $250-$350 per night. Seaside Villa is $1800-2800 per night depending on what season you stay. Help is awesome, and we've actually stayed there multiple times and we had the place all to ourselves (especially in Summer). Located in the hills in Negril right down the street from Rick's Cafe. There is also a ton of other restaurants in walking distance including my favorites LTU and Da Bar. 6 down is the best cottage in my opinion.
