Best setup for watching LEGALLY pirated movies and shows on a TV?

This stuff confuses me, I still use a 7 year old iPod and convert every video to iTunes format. With a long wire it acts as a wired remote so I find what I want to watch in seconds, and can be easily transferred to any room.
I've heard people say streaming from a device to another room can be glitchy so sticking with this for now.
 


You can do all this complex nonsense these guys are spewing or.... Just get a WDTVLiveHub. 1 device, no streaming, no hassle.

You can do Netflix and other crap on there too but it EXCELS at playing local media files. No streaming bullshit... it has a 1 TERABYTE hard drive built in and it plays damn near any file format you throw at it.

Done.

That review doesn't make it sound great. It basically says the interface sucks and it has trouble playing anything 720p or higher.

But my external is 4TB.

You can stream Netflix, Youtube and shit too, or plug in a USB Device. It plays all formats.
 
With the raspberrypi + openelec you wont be streaming. Save the movies to an external and plug it into the pi or setup plex and stream from your pc. openelec makes you a small, basic computer.
