Let's play a game called.... DIG A LIL DEEPER!
So, here we have Bevo Media. A company that tracks stuff, kinda, connects others, kinda, is super duper exciting and cutting edge, nah... And it's run by Ryan Bukevicz who's claim to fame was playing college football for Syracuse University, fuckin about in Florida for a bit, dabbled in aff marketing, made some money, lost a lot later, fell in love with Lee's pitch of programming awesomeness (he's actually pretty fuckin good!), moved it to San Diego, called it Bevo Media. He partnered with Michael (has always been a good neutral guy) his old school friend (also played for Syracuse Univ), got Mike's dad to invest a bunch of cash into the company... So, things went well, Lee did his thing, and Ryan began building his corp and product, hyping it and all the normal stuff.
Then.. problems began. Lee wanted more of a cut than he initially claimed to be cool with. It was very messy and dramatic.
Ryan asked me to step in after my failed bid to acquire Tracking/Prosper 202 directly for an all cash deal. (Thank god I didn't, because it turned out THAT was built on a heap of bullshit too! But, that's not a story for now). I stepped in, we cut a deal. And I gave him some very tough but necessary decisions to stop his company from hemorrhaging cash. It was literally killing him.. he was losing hair from stress, couldn't sleep, etc. I felt bad for him and Mike, and even Mike's dad. Lee was being a bully. But, Lee is a great coder and was actually making what coulda woulda shoulda been a great product, just took his sweet time to do it, played god (like most brilliant coders do) and wanted a bigger piece of the action, even though that was not part of the initial agreement.
My suggestion did in fact, include to fire Lee and replace him with two coders he had already been training to take over after his contract was up.. he was stalling and trying to leverage his position for more money and a piece of the corp. This became Lee's MO later on many other projects it seems. Sometimes it worked, but other times it did not.
Anyway... Ryan finally can sleep because actions were taken and he followed my plan to a T. I also included ways he could immediately utilize underdeveloped areas of his platform to introduce new services and create new streams of this crazy shit called profitable revenue streams, instead of just burning through cash waiting for coders and developers to finish his platform. He applied these as well, and POOF! just as the magical Jew predicted... the company became profitable for the first time ever.
The sad part is that Ryan decided to pretend our agreement for my shares in the company were never received by him. We had the same lawyer and Ryan claimed that he was afraid for his life of me (he's a fuckin football player, I'm a skinny Jew from NYC, lol wtf!!) and some other nonsense like ignoring every call. I contemplated suing him because of the contractual breach and just for lying (srsly, wtf, claiming to never have gotten a damn email and a signed agreement? Then how the fuck did I have a copy of yours that you signed?? More magic eh??). I then began to see major issues in his management style and decided.. fuck it. I'll just take the mature road and let him fail hard (which he began to, but not before he pretended to be a baller and would buy bottles, take pics at the club with it, and then try and get those bottles returned! lololol!!!).
As far as I know, they made a bit of money, things began to not work too well, Lee said fuck this shit, they offered him to be a consultant. He stuck around for a bit longer, and then was done. I don't know if Ryan ever paid investors back. Nor if his partner Michael ever found out about Ryan's skim (minor details.. well, not really since it's illegal.. but, Stanley sure did give them good advice! lol).
This is just one of many fun lil stories that I was involved in and have kept quiet and secret up until now. Is this important and profound? I don't think so. But the reality is that their company was a piece of shit sometime in the first year. There is a lot more drama, but it's so unnecessary to even mention (Ryan Eagle's network was deeply involved as were a few others at the time, and then again, just like magic, they began dropping out without saying why) -- Bevo was also very much using the data for their own campaigns, from their customers. I believe I may still have emails of admission from Ryan on it. Though, it was a long while ago now and that wouldn't be very nice since I was going to do the same shit with 202, but never got the chance.
As someone claimed in this thread. The answer is a yes. I know that all of the third party tracking software in the aff industry was compromised on purpose to see the data, and use it for their own financial personal campaigns. I don't know if they all still do it today, but they def did years ago. -- Most affiliates may get upset, for those who were operating during this period, chances are you already knew so perhaps you should just shut the fuck up and don't even try to get dramatic about it. You had years, you didn't say shit, so it's done.
The affiliate marketing industry is a shady business. Every crevice has some guy or girl with a smile on their face calling you a friend, and with their other hand behind their back, holding a knife to stick into your back at the first sign of making a profit, still calling you a friend, and pointing the finger at someone else to take the blame. This is the nature of the industry and it will always be this way. Some people, are worse than others. But we are all guilty of trying to one up the other, regardless of who we are or are not. Some guys definitely cross the line on a daily basis, I used to wish I could be one of those guys, but I just.. can't.. (fuckin conscience!).
Who the fuck is Vize Capital Partners anyway? I dunno.. I'm asking if anyone knows? They have one manager who's name is A’tif Kazmi (that seems like a very challenging name for any woman to yell out in bed, amirite??) -- I can't find any valid or legal claims to back up his history/bio either. Seems like a front corp to hide a failcorp. There is definitely someone getting raped in this deal, maybe it's A’tif Kazmi or maybe it's a Bevo bitch. Who knows and frankly, who gives a flying fuck anymore. Is it just me or does Vizdum sound more like a Russian guy trying to say Wisdom and his accent gets the better of him! I swear, you can't make this shit up, well, sometimes!
Think they'll sue me for outting this? I doubt it. I mean, really, the last thing they want is anyone asking questions or digging into their books and claims all these years anyway. I'm just laying down the truth of what happened. I didn't hold anything back, I even make myself look not so wonderful. But that's the thing in the industry you rarely see. People in this industry have done a lot of really disgusting and bad shit to one another. Many of you are victims and perpetrators too. I'm no saint, but holy mother of god are there some crazy corrupt sick fucks running around in this industry alone!
